Pick your prefecture and watch over Japan until 2050. Left alone, towns shrink just as the national projection says. How many people can you keep? Who will unify Japan?
Pick your prefecture and watch over Japan until 2050.
How will Japan's population change over the next 25 years? Leave a town alone and it shrinks exactly as the national projection (IPSS) says. How many people can your prefecture keep? And which prefecture will unify Japan by 2050?
- Grow your town in a diorama
In a little town in a wooden box, residents go about their days. Every five years you choose a plan: a nursery, a bus line, new workplaces. Each spring you can keep people who are thinking of leaving. That builds momentum and makes your prefecture stronger.
- Unify Japan by population
All 47 prefectures compete with their neighbors for people. Momentum comes from how many working-age people a prefecture has and how well they stay, and luck decides the rest. When your bloc attacks, you choose the target. Battles play out on a wooden-box battlefield, with banner-carrying troops clashing. If your prefecture is taken, your diorama goes on, and you can take it back in spring.
- One game day is one real hour
The game keeps going while the app is closed: about a year in real time until 2050. Mornings and nights, cherry blossoms, autumn leaves and snow. Town sounds, and a different sound for each of the 47 prefectures. Open it now and then and see what happened while you were away.
- Your 2050
At the end, compare your prefecture with what would have happened if nothing was done. An ending roll shows your 25 years and the names of your town's people. Save your result as a picture and a video.

For iPhone and iPad (iPad also works in landscape). Japanese and English. Shows ads at the bottom of the screen and at breaks. "Remove Ads" (one-time purchase) turns them off.

A town where nothing is done follows the national projection exactly. Plan effects, unification rules and prefecture allies are game assumptions. This game was made by an individual developer, not by the government or any public agency. Residents' names are randomly generated.
