Turn your Mac into a haunted desktop. Painted bats fly in, find a perch around your real windows and settle down for a nap. Add glowing jack-o'-lanterns, drifting ghosts, cobwebs, flickering candles and Halloween lights, then choose a moonlit wallpaper to complete the scene. BATS WITH PERSONALITY Release one bat or a colony of thirty. Watch them hang beneath windows, cling to the sides and rest along the screen edges. Move a window gently and its bat rides along; move it quickly and the bat takes flight. Sleeping bats wake when your mouse comes close. Choose Classic, Vampire, Ghost, Fruit Bat, Neon, Shadow or a mixture. Adjust their size, flight speed, restlessness and favorite places to land. The bats are click-through, so your apps stay usable. DECORATE YOUR DESKTOP Choose from painted pumpkins, ghosts, witches, zombies, vampires, mummies, cauldrons, black cats, tombstones, skulls, candles, cobwebs and spiders. Pick a look, place it, then drag or resize it to make the desktop your own. Decorations on a window follow it as it moves. Candles and cauldrons have animated flames. Ghosts drift and fade around your windows. Spiders dangle on threads, wander along the screen and spin webs in its corners. STRING UP THE LIGHTS Hang Halloween lights along a window's top edge or all the way around it. Fourteen color palettes include Witch's Brew, Blood Moon, Embers, Toxic Green, Harvest and Spectral. ELEVEN PAINTED WALLPAPERS Visit Haunted Hill, Pumpkin Patch, Foggy Graveyard, Witch's Moon, Spooky Woods, Midnight Sky, Vampire's Castle, Halloween Village, Moonlit Lake, Ghost Ship and Witch's Cottage. Choose a picture for every display. YOUR HALLOWEEN, YOUR SCHEDULE Start the bats when the app opens, after you've been idle, or only when you ask. Keep them just for October if you like. Control everything from the pumpkin in your menu bar, and optionally open the app at login. Halloween is a standalone menu bar app for macOS 14 or later. Its optional idle mode decorates your desktop; it is not a macOS system screen saver module or a screen lock. If you use idle mode, set the system screen saver to start later so it doesn't cover the scene. One purchase. No subscriptions, ads or in-app purchases.
