Pick one of 125 progressions, tap a chord, and SPRIG plays it: an arpeggio whose top note sings the melody, with left-hand chords and bass. Draw a line to shape the tune.
SPRIG is a songwriting instrument that builds a piano part over a chord progression, for you to play. The top note of the arpeggio sings the melody; the left hand adds chords and bass. You don't need to know chords to make a song.
Touch the numbers in order
• 1 Style: Jazz, Neo Soul or Lo-Fi.
• 2 Progression: 125 progressions, each drawn as its own shape. Tap one to play it.
• 3 Pattern: ‹ › steps through the arpeggio patterns; the die gives another melody.
• 4 Play: tap a chord and SPRIG plays in it. The order you tap becomes the progression.
Play it with your fingers
• Chords: the twelve chords of the key, with names and degrees.
• Scale: only the notes of the chosen scale, so nothing you touch is wrong.
• Keys: a short keyboard; "fit to scale" moves stray notes to the nearest scale note.
• HOLD keeps it going after you let go, through key, scale and page changes.
• The circle draws the progression on the circle of fifths. Tap a chord to colour it or swap in a substitute; 0–5 reharmonise the same progression.
• The melody line: draw on it and the melody follows its shape.
• The play screen: the circle, the line and big chord pads. One tap on CHAOS makes it fast, wide and colourful; tap again to go back.
• Visual: the circle and shapes alone, full screen.
• Sense (standalone app): claps move to the next chord (MIC), tilt moves the melody up and down (TILT), a shake brings a new progression (SHAKE), the light adds colour to the chords (LIGHT). Turn on only the ones you want.
Take it out
• Export MIDI: one turn of the progression as a .mid, to AirDrop, Files or another app.
• Share 8 bars as a WAV, in the current sound.
• Recorded playing: what SPRIG played while running, as MIDI or WAV.
• MIDI out: the virtual port "Frond SPRIG" plays your other synth apps; Bluetooth MIDI too.
• Save your own sounds, share them all, add sounds from Files.
• Tempo: drag, TAP or type it. Follows MIDI clock; inside a host it follows the host.

No internet connection, no data collected. The microphone and the camera are used only when you turn on Sense > MIC or LIGHT, and only as numbers (how loud, when you clap, how bright). Nothing is recorded, photographed, stored or sent.
