Stand in each room for a few seconds and EmberSeek ranks where your powered-on earbuds, headphones or tag are most likely to be. Your earbuds are somewhere in the house, but a live Bluetooth signal jumps around so much that it's hard to tell which room. EmberSeek takes a different approach: compare rooms first, then close in. ROOM SWEEP Stand in each place (bedroom, living room, car, gym bag) and tap Sample. EmberSeek measures the signal for 8 seconds, takes the median, and ranks the places so you know where to search first. If two places are close, it tells you to sample again instead of guessing. HOT/COLD FINDER Once you're in the right room, a heat meter climbs from Freezing to Burning as the signal gets stronger, with a 25-second trend chart. EYES-FREE GUIDANCE Haptic pulses speed up as you get closer, and optional spoken cues say "warm", "warmer" or "colder", so you can look under cushions instead of at your screen. Works with VoiceOver. TUNED TO EACH DEVICE A small tracker and a loud speaker don't transmit at the same strength. Calibrate a saved device once, right next to your iPhone, and the meter is tuned to it. GEAR CHECK Before you leave the gym or office, Gear Check listens for 10 seconds and ticks off which of your saved things your iPhone can hear. HONEST LIMITS EmberSeek can only hear devices that are switched on, have battery left and are within Bluetooth range. It can't find devices that are off, out of battery or out of range, and it doesn't show a map. Many earbuds only broadcast when they're out of the case or the lid is open.
