iPhone

No buttons. Fold your iPhone Duo to the time you want, hold still, and the sand runs. Zand turns your iPhone Duo into an hourglass. There are no buttons: the hinge is the dial. HOW IT WORKS • Fold the Duo like a laptop. Just past a right angle is one minute; the wider you open it, the longer the time, up to ten minutes. • Hold still for a moment and the sand starts to fall. • Fold a little closer while it runs to speed the sand up, or open it a little wider to slow it down. The sand that has already fallen stays where it is. • Lay the Duo flat to reset. • When the sand is down, Zand chimes and sends a notification. A tap or a nudge of the hinge stops the sound. PRESETS • Sand: the plain timer, one to ten minutes. • Eggs: pick 4, 6, 7, 8 or 10 minutes and watch a cross-section egg cook along with the timer, from glassy white and runny yolk to firm. It keeps cooking on screen until you take it out of the water. • Game turn: pick a turn length once, then every tap starts the next player's turn with a full glass. Close the Duo and the sand keeps running on the outer display, or pauses, as you prefer. Paid once. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking, no account. Zand is made for iPhone Duo and needs its hinge.
