We've all done it: checked one weather app, then another, then another, until one finally told us what we wanted to hear. Wishcast skips the hunting. It looks at more than 200 forecasts at once and shows you the best case for the weather you're hoping for. You aren't lying to yourself. You are just being optimistic. PICK YOUR WISH - Nice & Pleasant - Sunny - Snow - Rainy - Wild Weather - Cool Evenings Set your own perfect high, perfect evening and perfect low, and Wishcast hunts for them. HOW IT WORKS Wishcast downloads forecasts from up to 26 global and regional weather models, every run of up to 11 ensembles, and directly from the US National Weather Service, MET Norway and Apple Weather: more than 200 forecasts for each day of the week ahead. They include physics-based and AI models from ECMWF and 13 national weather services across North America, Europe and East Asia. For every value (high, low, rain, snow, clouds, wind), it picks the one that best fits your wish. The high can come from one forecast and the low from another, so a Wishcast day is a best case, not a prediction. It stays honest about it: - Each day shows how many forecasts actually show its high and low. - Tap a day to see where every value came from and how it was chosen. - A Reality Check counts the single forecasts that fully deliver your wish. - A chart plots every forecast so you can see how far out on a limb your wish is. - "How Wishcast Works" explains every rule, with credits and references. EVERYTHING YOU EXPECT FROM A WEATHER APP - Current conditions, a 7-day outlook and hourly forecasts - Pick any date up to about six months ahead. Past a week it's labeled a long shot, past two weeks a wild guess. - Sunrise, sunset, UV index and chance of precipitation - Official weather alerts and a next-hour rain forecast from Apple Weather where available, shown as issued and never mixed - Saved places, city search and current location. Star your favorites and swipe between them. - Animated backgrounds that match the weather: drifting clouds, rain, lightning (with a thunder rumble on iPhone), snow and blowing leaves. Turn them off in Settings. - Home Screen widgets, each showing the place you choose, plus Lock Screen widgets on iPhone - Apple Watch app, complications and a Smart Stack widget - Layouts for iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo. Stand the Duo half-open on a table and it can show the day on top and the list of days below, over a sky and ground drawn to match the day's weather. No account and no sign-in. Your location is only used to request forecasts. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, MET Norway, the US National Weather Service and Apple Weather, from forecasts published by ECMWF, NOAA, Deutscher Wetterdienst, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Météo-France, the Japan Meteorological Agency, the UK Met Office, the China Meteorological Administration, MET Norway, KNMI, DMI, MeteoSwiss, ItaliaMeteo and the Korea Meteorological Administration.
