Mile Marker is a mileage log for people who drive for work: rideshare and delivery drivers, real estate agents, home health aides, contractors, sales reps and anyone who files a Schedule C. Tap Start when you head out. Drive. Tap Stop. Your mileage log for tax time, done. ONE BIG START BUTTON The Drive screen is one huge Start sign you can hit with a thumb in a car mount. While a trip runs you see the miles roll up on odometer drums, the time driving, what the trip comes to at the IRS standard rate, and the GPS signal in plain words. A big Stop button ends it. KEEPS RECORDING Switch to your gig app, turn the screen off, put the phone in your pocket. A trip you started keeps recording until you stop it. On Android a "Trip running" notification shows the miles and has a Stop trip button. If the app is ever closed mid-trip, the miles so far are kept and the trip waits for you to review it. THE DEDUCTION METER The top of Drive shows your business miles this year and the math: miles x the IRS standard rate = the amount. Tap it to see this month, this quarter or last year. Each trip uses the IRS rate for its own date. Medical and charity miles have their own lines. ONE TAP TO CLASSIFY When you stop, tap Business, Personal, Medical or Charity. Add a purpose from your own quick picks and a client or platform name if you like. A MILEAGE LOG PDF AND CSV From Reports, pick a year, quarter, month or custom range and make a clean, printable Mileage Log PDF: a summary with your vehicle, odometer readings, total and business miles, business-use percentage, the rates used and miles x rate, then every trip with date, times, start and end places, miles, purpose and client, with monthly subtotals. The log records the things IRS Publication 463 asks a mileage log to show. A CSV of the same trips, and one for tolls and parking, are there too. Send them to your accountant with your phone's share sheet.
