Point your iPhone at a letter, a package or a menu and hear what matters, as a short summary or word for word. WYSIWYH – What You See Is What You Hear – reads printed text aloud for people who are blind or have low vision. Point the camera at text and tap one of two large buttons: • KEY INFO gives you the essentials in a few sentences: who a letter is from and what they want, amounts and deadlines, a medicine's name, dosage and expiry date, the dishes and prices on a menu. • EVERY WORD reads all the text, word for word. Designed for accessibility • Huge, high-contrast buttons, or tap the left or right half of the screen • Full VoiceOver support • A gentle vibration every two seconds while the text is being analyzed • Repeat the last text, turn on the flashlight for dim light • Works up close: switches to macro automatically on supported iPhones Your language, your voice • Choose the language everything is read in. Text in other languages is translated. • Use any installed iOS voice and adjust its speed and pitch Private by default On-device mode recognizes, summarizes (with Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones) and reads text entirely on your iPhone. No account, no tracking. Optional: natural OpenAI voices Add your own OpenAI API key and allow sending to get more accurate reading and very natural voices. You can choose among 13 voices, set the speed and describe the speaking style, for example "calm audiobook narrator" or "enthusiastic". Photos are sent to OpenAI only after you explicitly allow it.
