Knitting iCharts - the must-have for everyone that designs their own knitting pattern and wishes to illustrate the charts appealingly.
With this app you are able to:
⁃ create a table with up to 99 stitches in 99 rows.
⁃ fill the grid with stitch symbols or colours to create a colourful pattern.
⁃ save the table together with a key explaining the stitch symbols and use it in your written pattern or share it via several channels.
Additionally we offer the service to implement missing stitch symbols. Just send an email to our support!
When developing this app we made sure that it is easy-to-use and intuitive that creating a new chart is a piece of cake!
Please feel free to use the charts built in Knitting iCharts in patterns that you are selling.
Are you tired of the mess in your chart list and have difficulties finding one particular pattern? No more worries, with this new update you can organize all of your charts in as much groups as you like. Create a group from sock-, shawl or fair isle patterns, sort by color, stitch number oder symbols and tidy up your pattern list.
Additionally you can rearrange the symbols now in the symbol menu bar. Are you working with a few stitches only? Just push them up front to avoid scrolling back and forth. You can even delete unnecessary symbols now. Hit the „reset“ button and you can go back to the default symbol menu bar as we deliver it.
Have fun with the new features and leave a comment here in the app store to let us know how you like it and what else you wish for!

Very intuitive and easy to use app. I'm impressed by the quality of the images that are generated from the charts, much better than other charting software. It makes designing even more fun!
I have had this app for a couple of years now and I struggle to get it to work the way I feel it should. I got the app to chart intarsia designs for my elderly mother (no computer there!) and if you design a block of a light color you can’t see the grid lines to know how many stitches are there. Being able to change the grid lines to a dark color would help. I haven’t found any way to be able to view my whole chart on the app - I can only see about a 30 x 30 section of the chart. I can scroll to other parts of the charts so I know they are there. I would like to be able to print my charts. I have tried saving my charts to my Dropbox but it never asks me what file I want them saved to - I just get a message saying they were saved - to where? I can’t find them. I’ve also tried emailing them to myself but only get a portion of the chart split between several pages. I have contacted the developers with suggestions and they are receptive but changes to the app have been minimal.
I am really loving this app. It is simple and intuitive to use, yet does pretty much everything you need it to do. There are a couple of extra symbols I would like (and have requested they be added) but apart from that it is just about perfect.
