It’s an good operating system and easy to book buses, but when it comes to the actual buses it’s pretty awful. I’ve been left by two buses now and as a foreigner it is very stressful, specially when you’re relying on an app. They tell you a location and it’s really another one, or it’s a different than bus than it says (which according to immigration officer is illegal) very poor communication and perhaps it’s the buses themselves but when you have only the app to trust, it’s very disappointing. I think it might be better to over pay at one of those your agencies than risking maybe getting picked up maybe not. I had some easy buses, no problem but it’s the ones that never showed up that make me never want to use this system again. Very unfortunate and extremely irritable. Plus I only got one of the no-shows refunded. I know it’s India, but cmon. Maybe if you are risking it, only use the high rated bus drivers and try to call them at numbers they provide. This still won’t guarantee them showing up.

I’ve been using Redbus for a while now, and the experience has gone downhill recently. Almost every time I book a bus through the app, it ends up getting cancelled at the last minute — sometimes just hours before departure. This is extremely frustrating and leaves me scrambling for alternatives, especially during urgent travel.What’s worse is that there’s no reliable communication or support when this happens. The app just updates the status or sends a short message, and then you’re on your own. It’s very inconvenient, especially when you’ve planned your schedule around the booking.Redbus seriously needs to improve the reliability of its bus partners and take responsibility for last-minute cancellations. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend it for dependable travel.

I wanted to love this app given the convenience of booking tickets that are kept securely on your phone, but my experience with this company and their refund policy was disheartening, frustrating, and I want to warn others about it.When purchasing a ticket, you are prompted with the option to purchase a “refundable ticket” for an additional fee. Given the nature of travel at the moment (for the unaware: a global pandemic), I was under the impression that this refundable ticket would be worth the extra security. When my travel plans were altered, I canceled the ticket, though I bought a new ticket for my fiancé, thinking that it would be a non-issue. How wrong was I! My refund request was denied because it didn’t fall under the category provided (my fiancé was supposed to drive our car home from her hometown but became physically unable to do so). When I contacted customer service about this issue, they simply threw the refund policy at me saying “You were told about the refund policy, so your request is still denied.” Well, I have a screenshot of the refund page after canceling my ticket that says I was eligible for a refund equal to the total ticket cost, so how is that not misleading? This policy does two things: 1. Encourages the customer to lie to ensure that they receive a refund and 2. Blames the customer for assuming that their refund policy is consumer friendly and throws the Terms and Conditions in your face. Should I have gone over every minute detail of the T&C? Yes, of course. But I PURCHASED ANOTHER TICKET TO REPLACE THE ONE I CANCELED (for my Fiancé). How could you not then honor the refund? Does the app work? Yeah. Would I recommend it? Not if your travel plans are prone to change.
