This app can be better since it has nice features. A map feature can help to discover the shops and available places. Also some shops can also be done at random without having an appointment. “Walk ins” are the best since it looks more natural than setting up appointments. I have booked various shops and I don’t get response quickly enough to follow the shop. And my request gets cancelled. The app has some small problems but I believe it can be fixed. My complaint is the lack of support from the secret shop team.

Let me prelude this by saying I have done loss prevention, compliance audits, and mystery shops since 1997, and rarely, I mean RARELY do I work with a company that has an issue with surveys, narratives, or other reports. This company has an app and website that should be constantly functioning, and when they aren’t they should have an alternative way to get reports in on time, or give extensions. Pretty simple. I’ve done audits for Secret Shopper in the past and completed two in the past week. Both were just reimbursement shops in San Diego, there was no shop fee or income to be made. That’s fine and all, but I’m paying out my own money, $50-67 during each of these shops and when I went to write my report, the shop says it is cancelled and you have to “accept feedback”, you can’t even comment that you are ready to do the report. So, I emailed them screenshots from the app on my phone and also my laptop and all they did was deny any issue and make excuses not to pay. BE VERY WARY or you will end up wasting a lot of your own money due to their faulty technology and poor scheduler/coordinator communication and service. This is BREACH OF CONTRACT!

I have been doing secret shops with this app for going on three months now. The only issue I have is sometimes the feedback takes quite a while. For example, I currently have three shops that have been sitting for almost a month with no feedback given to me. And there is a bit of confusion on the pay dates. On the app it says that they will submit payment on the 20th, but you don’t receive it until the 30th of the following month. In my opinion, it shouldn’t take 10 days from the time they submit the payment til it gets to your bank account. other than that, the app is great and it’s a great way to make some extra money.

This app is simple to navigate, with clear instructions and fair pay. Even as a new user with limited assignment types (I don’t gamble or drink), I’ve still had enough opportunities to make it worthwhile. Customer service is excellent—they respond quickly, offer helpful feedback, and will even call if needed. Payment is prompt by check each month, which I actually prefer over entering bank details. As a teacher, I love the flexibility—I can work when and where I want without a strict schedule. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a low-pressure side hustle!
