Topo maps - Norway
Detailed topo maps
$3.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Topo maps - Norway puts Kartverket's detailed topographic map of Norway right in your pocket. From fjord paths and mountain plateaus to forest cabins and coastal trips, you've got a clear outdoor map that works even without a signal.
The map covers Norway at practical outdoor scales and looks sharp on Retina displays.
What's inside
- Full offline use — download any area to your device and leave reception behind
- Tracks and waypoints, with GPX import and export (folders stay intact)
- Route Planner lets you plan routes ahead of time by placing points on the map. You can also save and edit routes later. It shows the total distance and area of the route you draw.
- Measure Tool for checking distance and angle between points: touch and hold the map with two fingers. Supports degrees, NATO mils (6400) and Finnish piiru (6000)
- Display, copy, and search coordinates in WGS84 (DD, DDM, DMS), ETRS-TM35FIN, MGRS, UTM / ETRS89, SWEREF 99 TM, and ETRS-GK
- Drop a base camp and navigate back to it whenever you need
- Address and place search with recents and autocomplete
- Apple street and satellite maps when you need a different view
A small note on GPS: tracking in the background drains the battery faster than usual, so keep an eye on it on longer trips.

more This seems to have good precise GPS tracking, and great maps - so much more information than google maps or endomondo. Love the elevations, hyttes, names of every geographic location. I love the feature of being able to name the route, and follow the route again on the map. But is there a way to upload the activity to Facebook or somehow share it with others? any potential to make it social? or even view it on my computer? (not sure about GPX files). thanks!

Getting ready for Lokimaps
This app is being retired, and we recommend switching to Lokimaps. You’ll keep the maps and features you know, gain new ones, and easily transfer your bookmarks. This update adds a simple guide to help you make the switch.
4.3.2 Oct 12
Ruler is now Route Planner. Plan routes on the map, save them to bookmarks, edit saved routes later, and see the total distance and area of the route you draw.
New Measure Tool: touch and hold the map with two fingers to see distance and angle between points. Supports degrees, NATO mils (6400) and Finnish piiru (6000).
Added a setting to allow or disable 3D map view.
Liquid Glass support has been improved for map widgets and toolbars.
Map pins and route details now open faster and feel more responsive.
Several route planning, map overlay, and settings issues have been fixed.
4.3.0 Jul 9
This update adds:
- New coordinate systems for the map and coordinate search: MGRS, UTM / ETRS89, SWEREF 99 TM, and ETRS-GK.
- Live Activity support for track recording.
- Sorting for bookmarks.

We're back — and the app has had a proper rebuild.
It took a while (sorry about that), but under the hood this is very nearly a fresh start. Same topo maps and outdoor tools, just cleaner, faster, and happier on modern devices.
A few things you might notice:
- Offline map downloads now have a dedicated screen with clearer progress
- GPX import and export keep folder structure intact
- Track, navigation, and ruler distances now follow your unit settings
- Search has been reworked with autocomplete and recents
- Snappier in-app indicators thanks to a rebuilt loading HUD
- The "Details" button on track and route callouts now opens the details
Thanks for sticking around.
