GAME 1995

Tap a group. Watch it go.

$1.99

The tile puzzle from 1995, made new. Clear the board on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, with no ads, no in-app purchases and nothing collected. If you have played SameGame or Chain Shot, you know the idea. Tap two or more touching tiles of the same kind and they clear. The tiles above fall into the gap, and empty columns close up. Simple to learn, hard to master. Bigger groups score far more: a pair is worth 2, a group of ten is worth 74. Every kind you clear completely pays a bonus, and each one doubles the last. Every tile left on the board costs a point, so the real prize is the board cleared. The trick is to choose one kind to keep for last and let it come together while you clear the others round it. WHAT'S IN IT • Eight short lessons with live boards to try, from your first group to clearing the board. • Six board sizes, wide and tall, each with its own top 20 and its own Game Center leaderboard. • Undo as often as you like, for 10 points a time. Three potions a game: each turns one tile into a kind drawn at random, which can rescue a lone tile or cost you a bonus. • Hints if you want them: GAME shows a group to take and says which kind to save for last. A game with a hint goes on its own high-score table. • Watch GAME play the board you just played, and see how it would have cleared it. • Replay any board from your high scores. EVERYWHERE YOU ARE • iPhone and iPad, in landscape or, if you choose, upright with tall boards. • Mac, in any size of window, with the mouse or the keyboard. • Apple TV, with the Siri Remote. • Apple Vision Pro: play in a window, on a table in front of you, in a meadow all around you, or with the board floating in your own room. You can play by looking alone, with Dwell Control. • Game controllers and keyboards play GAME on every one of them. NOTHING ELSE No ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts and no tracking. GAME collects nothing. Your scores stay on your device, and go to Game Center only if you are signed in to it. WHERE IT CAME FROM GAME is a take on SameGame, the classic puzzle that began as Chain Shot in 1985. This version began in 1995 on a tiny Japanese palmtop computer. This is a new version of it, with art by Will Saunders and music by Jack Anderton, and the rules and scoring of the original.
