Ratings and Reviews
Very poor music quality
It will stream music over Bluetooth but the sound quality is comparable to a voice conversation on an analog phone. I will be calling Apple and will attempt to get a refund for the $10 I paid for this app. It absolutely should not be used in hopes of listening to music. At best it can stream a phone conversation which your existing car's Bluetooth can do. This app should either be free or removed from the App Store. Also, the first "test" song is misleading. The test song sounds okay. However, the actual streamed Bluetooth music from your device sounds nothing like the test sound. It is a gimmick where you are tricked into believing that the music from your device will sound like that, which is absolutely false. The company behind this app should be sued and I am considering filing a consumer complaint against them.
Too many misconceptions
This app is actually excellent at what it does and doesn't promise anything that it doesn't.
There are complaints that it's too expensive. I would tend to agree, but no-one is forcing you to buy the app. It's your choice.
The app itself is rather clever. If you have BT phone calls, but no audio streaming, it connects to your Bluetooth as a phone call, but without actually dialling a number.
The audio quality that you will receive is exactly the same as your BT phone quality. In addition, the app provides sample music to test, which gives you a good idea of the audio quality.
Personally, I would not listen to music over this, but I find it invaluable in playing GPS instructions through my six car speakers. Much easier to follow, than if the sound is only coming from my iPhone.
I repeat: it won't boost your Bluetooth capabilities (if you only have 8 kHz, that's what you will get), but it doesn't pretend to. It does everything that it's claims to, and I can only understand the many negative reviews as the result of misconceptions.
It does exactly what I expected it to (and what it claims to do), and does it very well. The one caveat is that, on a long trip, the combination of this app and your GPS app will use your battery pretty quickly unless you charge your phone whilst driving. However, that is to be expected.
Poor sound quality
I should have listened to the other reviews that said the quality was poor before spending $11 on this app. You are much better off connecting using a USB cable or aux cable for sound quality. If your car doesn't support Bluetooth music streaming then there is probably a reason. Quality is fine for phone calls using my cars Bluetooth but not for music. This app really doesn't add any value, and it's not even more convenient than plugging in with a cable.
