The ION Block Rocker app enhances your listening experience by providing EQ tone controls for your music, as well as a collection of sound effects that will add excitement to your BBQ, pre-game party, or gathering. The EQ screen offers an 8-band EQ, which can be customized in real-time as your music is playing through the built-in media player. Also, there are 21 EQ presets to choose from, including Acoustic, Hip Hop, Jazz, Rock, and more. The Sound FX page offers 24 different sound effects such as Applause, Siren, Crickets, Crowd Cheering, Drum Roll, and more! These can be triggered at any time and will mix in with your music, or you can just play them on their own.

While the app has its advantages – the equalizer works pretty well and the sound effects work fine - The bug everyone else here has reported about the app not playing all of the songs on your device is completely correct. What's more, it speeds up the song playback, pushing it up-pitch. If you simply play your songs back via Bluetooth, the pitch is correct, but you can't use the equalizer. I agree with everyone else – the app needs upgrading immediately.

First, this app will only play two songs from my library on my iPad. Don't understand why because it will play the whole library from my iPhone. Second, why am I stuck with searching through my entire library to find a song??? Why can't I have the option to create a playlist? That way all the songs that I need for a game are there already. Come on, people, try and keep up.

Can only play a few songs from my playlist. When I try to play another song, it plays a different song I already played. The EQ really works good and the music sounds so much better. They need to work out the bugs. It's almost there though!

This app allows you to play you music library with an adjustable EQ. Great also for the car too, but even better for the BlockRocker. This changes the EQ on the source, doesn't "reprogram" the BlockRocker unit.
