"Pixel Art Maker" is a drawing tool for pixel art like a retro game. ◇ Easy to use You can draw a pixel art soon after Launching the app. ◇ Import a photo Pixelate a photo. ◇ Create an animated pixel art. Draw one pixel art, copy it, and then you can draw an animation. Feathers: - Draw pixel art on canvases ranging from 8×8 up to 256×256 pixels. (I recommend 16×16 or 32×32 for getting started.) - Change the color palette (up to 256 colors). The basic palette includes 32 colors. The free version supports up to 65 colors; watching an ad temporarily unlocks up to 256 colors. Note that one color is always reserved for transparency. - Zoom in and out of your canvas for precise editing — just pinch with two fingers. - Save and load your drawing data. - Load a photo or an animated GIF file from your Photos library. - Export pixel art with a transparent color. - Upscale your artwork up to 2048×2048 when exporting for higher resolution output. - Save your artwork to Photos. - Share your artwork with other apps. - Create and export animated GIFs — up to 256 frames for canvas sizes of 128×128 or smaller, and up to 64 frames for larger sizes. * Animated GIF files are saved to Photos, but they will not animate within the Photos app. - Finger Mode Finger Mode is the default. Draw pixels directly on the screen with your finger. - Cursor Mode Move your finger on the screen to move the cursor, then press the "PIXEL" button to place a pixel. Go to "Menu" → "Settings" → "Change Drawing Mode" to switch to Cursor Mode. - Premium: Remove ads and permanently unlock the full 256-color palette. * When running this app on an Apple Silicon Mac (iPad version), photo import has the following limitations: 1. Animated images (e.g., GIF) are not supported. 2. Photos may be imported at low resolution.

Everything I’ve been looking for

I make crochet tapestry’s and I’ve been looking for an app that I can make images into grids and then edit them to make them compatible with my medium. This app does all that. I can customize the size of the grid, i can put in the image, and I can manually edit it to tweak everything perfectly all with no payment or subscription, which their competitors were not able to. Amazing app and I will use it many times. The only thing that I can’t figure out(I’m not very tech savvy tho so this could just be me) is how to have multiple grids saved in the app at once as I’m usually working on multiple projects at once. Overall amazing!

I’ve always wanted to make sprites, even animated ones, and this app hits pretty much every nail on the head in this regard. You can also save the sprites as images, including animated gifs to your phone/tablet, which makes it even better.If I have one gripe, it’s that the “Copy Color” option to transfer a specific color to all other animation frames doesn’t work, forcing me to have to manually change the color of each unique sprite in said animation. Not the worst thing in the world, but makes things a tad more tedious; an update to fix this would take this app from being excellent to perfect.

A currently unhappy customer
I love how simple it is. I don’t need my color palette saved, I don’t need any pictures saved. The colors are easy to toggle. You can export directly to apps like godaddy studio (formerly Over) keeping the transparent background. If I had one note that is it. Exporting by saving the pic should keep the transparent instead of making that are white. But like I said there’s ways around it and I love that. Larger canvases (smaller pixels) would be nice but considering the app is asking for so little and the ads are so minimal there’s nothing not to like.

This is my personal favorite pixel art tool personally. Also to keep in mind I am an amateur and I have very crappy handwriting. However how this works is that everything is grid based. You chose a color and put that color in that tiny square on the grid. (It more works like a very tiny paint bucket tool for each square.) That personally makes it very convenient for me and I will recommend anyone who is interested on getting into Pixel art but doesn’t have much experience on it at all to get the PixelArt app.

You chose a color and put that color in that tiny square on the grid. (It more works like a very tiny paint bucket tool for each square.) That personally makes it very convenient for me and I will recommend anyone who is interested on getting into Pixel art but doesn’t have much experience on it at all to get the PixelArt app.
