I downloaded this game with the hopes that it would be just a simple word search game that wasn’t bombarding me with ads every 15 seconds. I realize programmers have to pay their pub tab, too, but let’s face it, some apps are extremely obnoxious with the ads. Well, this app is classy about it. It has a single small banner at the bottom and every once in a while the app will kick over to a full screen ad that you have to wait 5 or 10 seconds before you can hit the “X”. The actual game is great. There are 3 different levels: normal, hard, expert. Then there’s a “numbers” level. Yep, you have to find sequences of numbers. I thought that was pretty ingenious and have enjoyed playing it. Each word/number sequence that you find is highlighted in a different transparent color. The app tracks how long it takes to complete each word search and has a stats window that you can open. There’s also an option to have a clock ticking off your time. I choose not to have that. In summation, the app does exactly what it needs to do and nothing more. It’s classy and I enjoy playing all the different levels.

This is my coffee for my brain. I must do Word Search every morning. I started doing Cryptoquotes since I was a kid in Long Island NY. The Newsday paper had one daily cryptoquote by the comic section. I have a brain wake up routine every morning in bed on my iphone. I do four word games every time I wake up and I can see that I improve each time. In the beginning you get frustrated but keep on going because eventually you get it and you feel good about yourself. Always start with the simplest level and as you succeed try the next one. Try to avoid clicking on hint. YOU CAN DO IT! I am not much of a physical exerciser but I LOVE exercising my brain.

The good: I like it fine. It passes the time. The ads aren’t absurd and when an ad does start you can just close the app and reopen and the ad is gone. There aren’t many advertisements while playing either which is good. You don’t need internet or WiFi to play either. You can close a puzzle during a game and you won’t lose progress on the puzzle.The stupid: One day I went to do a puzzle and a screen pops up stating that it can’t retrieve puzzles. I clicked retry repeatedly and nothing. Restarted my phone and tried again and again nothing. I guess you only get so many puzzles before you have to start over. Pretty stupid to be totally honest. I redownloaded and it’s fine now so I guess I’ll play it until the puzzles run out again but I won’t be downloading it again bc why

I love doing word searches. Many I’ve found for tablets and phones have been lacking. This word search is a very nice game. I like that the words go up, down and diagonal, many only go up and down. Highlighting the words works much better than crossing them out. You can still see letters where crossing them out makes them difficult to see. I do like the highlights being in different colors too!Wish the puzzles were larger, but they’d never fit on my phone or the words would be so small I couldn’t use my finger to play!
