SalishFont

Productivity

$4.99 · Designed for iPad

The SalishFont app adds phonetic symbols to iOS 12+ device keyboards to enable the user to type in the Salish language. Until now it has been difficult for Indigenous Language Speakers to utilize their language in iPods, iPhones and iPads. With this app's keyboards Salish speakers can enter various Interior Salish dialects into any iOS textfield, including social media, note taking apps and web browsers. The phonetic characters in the SalishFont app keyboards include numbers, standard punctuation, glottal stops, vowels, accented vowels, consonants, glottal consonants, and wedged consonants. The app includes installation instructions including keyboard enabling.
