Whole Number Multiplication is designed to help students understand the meaning of multiplication.
Whole Number Multiplication is designed to help students understand the meaning of multiplication. Sliders on a grid are used to select the two numbers (0-20) to be multiplied. The product of the two numbers is shown with black shading on the grid.
Notes can be optionally displayed to show algorithms for solving the multiplication problem. The standard, lattice and grid methods are shown.
Tapping the question mark starts a quiz. Randomly generated problems are show and the student uses the sliders on the grid to find the answers. A scoreboards shows the students performance.
Sound effects include audible pronunciation of the numbers as they are selected and other game-like sound effects for added interest.
