STORY On returning from testing the Hyper Jump functionality of your prototype fighter, you discover that your planet has been reduced to asteroids by the Marauder. With nothing left to live for, you decide to jump the 20 light years to destroy the Marauders home planet of Irata. Your space ship can only jump 1 light year at a time so you will face 20 waves of asteroid strewn space wastes and the star forces of the marauder. However, fear not, your prototype fighter has been designed to be upgraded so you can unlock and pick up power-ups. Better yet you can string multiple power-ups together for devastating fire power. HOW TO PLAY Your objective is simple - stay alive as long as possible by shooting and avoiding wave after wave of asteroids ... your reward: a high score and bragging rights on the Game Center leader boards. Your ship can be rotated through 360 degrees and can fire photon torpedoes. Large asteroids can be broken into two medium size ones, which in turn can be shot into two smaller ones. A wave is over when all asteroids have been cleared. Beware of the saucers! The large type are easy to hit and fire inaccurately, the smaller saucers are a different story... they move faster, are harder to hit and also become devastatingly accurate as the game progresses. You can use your ships thrusters to move out of the way of an incoming asteroid. Be careful of thrusting too much as there is no inertia in space and you will have to correct your trajectory to stop! If you find yourself in a no-win situation, you can hit Hyperspace - this will transport your ship to a random position on screen. Hyperspace is a dangerous option as your ship can transported into an asteroid.

Loads of fun... But

This is a fun game, no doubt. Maybe even better than Alsteroids, one of my all time favorites (and one I always return to). But honestly, all of my 'extras' run out while the girlie voice tells me how far it is to planet eye rat ah and what level I'm on or am I ready? That's just not right! Plus I should be able to save those extras for later use, when I really want (need!) them. This really is a fine game and the price can't be beaten and as much as I hate to rag on something I didn't pay for, there is room for improvement here. I will continue to play and continue to enjoy this game and I'll just deal with what I believe are some shortcomings. Even as is, it may even rank as a great game, even without any changes.Cheers ( and thanks to the developer for making this a free game!)Jc

If ur somehow reading this, then good for you… Now let’s jump right into this, shall we. Graphics: This game has good graphics for a game with only 100 ratings. It helps with gameplay because it’s bright and pretty dang easy to understand. It’s definitely more better & simpler than all these other bad Asteroids games that are currently in the App Store. I’ll for sure give this a 7/10. Gameplay: It’s hard to master, but again easy to learn. If you’re looking for a challenging game, then this one is for you. Because it’s addicting to play, fun to see, and calm to hear. The gameplay its self is just fine and nice to have since it’s easy to manipulate & again learn. Controls: They’re again simple & noice. Options/Menu: They’re very cool to have and fun to change. That’s really it and hope you were able to get what I’m saying and read it a bit thoroughly at least! Enjoy and have a fun one 👍.

Happy to support the developer for such a great game. Graphics are sweet retro and easy on the eyes, controls in the touch setting are responsive and easy. Thanks for a simple fun game, really enjoy playing it!Edit... 5 stars still stand but... 2 suggestions to improve the experience: allow progress to be saved so you can pick up where you left off vs. Always starting over. And... Please stop the high score initials entry for every play of the game. Even when I get killed right away with a crappy score it wants me to enter initials. Make it an option or only have it trigger when a new high score is truly achieved. Thx!

Love the new version, I play it all the time, my wife hates it, cause when we’re at dinner, bed, shopping, even driving, I’m playing the game. Get rid off the long pause (female voice) or “stop” the time from my remaining weapons! Plus, every time my wife calls, the game goes silent!!??! I have to stop the game and reboot my phone. Also, my control of the ship Freezes for a couple of seconds. Don’t mind the adds, fix these and I would gladly pay the .99 cents! Awesome Game!
