Excellent App

This app works great most of the time (just an occasional crash when writing the metadata, nothing major). It doesn't affect the video files, it just doesn't save some of them when it crashes. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I can not get it to use the episode art from TheTVDatabase. It only offers season artwork and I have to manually drag and drop each episode artwork from the website. Perhaps I am missing something in the Preferences?? If it would do that I would definately give it 5 Stars.

This program kinda works but has lots of problems

This program crashes quite often.... if you load in a folder which has a lot of nested subfolders, it will crash. Main reason seems to be that it has a huge memory leak. I queued up many videos and I'm watching the memory just get eaten up and eaten up without being freed. At one point it was using 8GB of RAM. As it finished and I removed files there, it never freed the memory.

Looking for another program because I regret paying for this one in its current state. Also now, the program is reporting as not being compatible despite my having an M1. It was compatible and fine when I paid for it and got it in the store... I guess not now though.

Nothing Better for Metadata

Longtime user here, who was also a bit irritated to find that the previous version was no longer supported, and a new version was now for sale or "rent."

Developers who use Apple's storefront are stuck in a bad position due to Apple's policy of not allowing devs to charge for updates; even major ones. So, if like me, you are used to paying for an upgrade every few years and are now dealing with the idea of buying a brand new version, please remember that we have ALWAYS had to pay for new features and to support new operating systems. Besides, at $1/month, how can anybody possibly complain?

These guys need to be paid for their work so skip a cup of coffee now and then and "rent" this for next to nothing.

I don't appreciate, however, how the "never remind me again" button on the iFlicks 2 popup doesn't do anything. That alone almost made me pick something else...

Developer Response ,

I hope you are aware that there is also a non-subscription based version of iFlicks 3 available as well.
