Interesting and Easy to use, lacks some features for now

I’m very excited for the progress on this app. The software seems there and it decodes and encodes FT8/FT4 just fine, but I hope it could be expanded to JS8call or other modes potentially in the future. It seems that running an integrated sound card such as the one in my Xiegu X6100 is not yet supported, as on both my iPad Pro 2020 and my iPhone 12 Pro connecting an Apple USB-C to C/Lightning cable was ignored and played the audio through the speaker. I hope in the future this method could be implemented as I would use it very regularly for SOTA in order to lighten my kit.

Great but inconsistent

I tried a SOTA activation yesterday with this app and my KX2. I could only complete 1 contact via the apps and had to switch to SSB to finish the activation. I called CQ and got no responses, then switched to “Listen” mode and saw that a number of stations were calling me back but the app did not present them to me when I was in “Calling” mode. The one contact I made was the only station who called me back on my calling frequency.

I also hope to see the ability to add SOTA or POTA prefixes.

A will use this!

Obviously this is not the same as using a full size computer screen, but the developer has done a fine job of making best use of a small screen.

This app might be the last straw that gets me to buy the new iPhone with usb C. That is not really necessary. There are other ways to connect if you’re not in the mood for a new iPhone, but I was already thinking about upgrading.
