ilu is a puzzle game. In every puzzle, all that is dark must light up. You place a light by tapping a dark area. You will discover clever ways to place the lights as you play the game. STORY: ilu is light. You are a keeper of light. In the vast void of space, countless lost worlds drift in the dark. Planets that have lost their star mothers and are too far and cold for the rays of starlight to warm their dark and frozen features. It is your mission to terraform these barren planets. As you spread light through the worlds of ilu, watch the ground light up while colorful and beautifully animated plants sprout as the entire world gently teems with life. FEATURES: • Infinite relaxing logic puzzles solved with light • Simple rules that create compelling solutions • Dynamic music that responds to your play • An animated & intelligent hint system that teaches & guides your way The puzzles of ilu can be solved with pure logic alone. Amazing game!

This game is addictive! The ambient soundtrack coordinates with the game sounds, which makes for a really relaxing mood. I would love an mp3 of just the soundtrack. My favorite feature of the game is how you can still “play” the lights like musical notes ad the end of each puzzle and level. So cool! It took me several levels to find the “very easy” puzzles truly easy. Some of the “easy” ones were rather wicked! The puzzles get easier with practice, so I guess it’s good there are lots of higher difficulty settings. That the user has control of the difficulty level is excellent, because sometimes you just want to relax, and the ZAP you get when you fail to solve the puzzle is not relaxing. 😉The ads aren’t awful, though they do disrupt the game’s ambient mood. You can dismiss five ads at a time by watching one longer one. After I get my next paycheck I’ll definitely pay for the ad-free version. Well worth it!

Update April 30, 2021: It’s unfortunate that this game has become abandonware. It was a superior puzzle game and I still play it a few time a week. The latest update put the score bar over the top part of the puzzle, on my iPad, making it difficult to tap squares in that area. Support for the Apple Pencil would have been nice but, unless I’m doing something insane, it doesn’t register. Hopefully we’ll get one more update or maybe an Ilu 2. This is a great game - just waiting on those promised updates :-) - on a side note - this game need one fix - I can’t tell you how many times I’ve missed my perfect game because of a misclick - there needs to be an undo button for one move back that has a 15 second or so cool down so we can still get that perfect game - otherwise this game rules!

LOVE: I'm a forever ilu fan

Ilu was my first Brainium game. I downloaded it after my Dad died in 2016 with Alzheimer's and I wanted to find ways to keep my mind sharp. I find that the logic activity in this game is that wonderful elusive mix of both challenging and relaxing/soothing for my mind and nerves. Plus the aesthetics and general sensibility of the game really appeal to me. Long after I leveled up to Expert and acquired all the avatars I wanted, I've continued enjoying daily play of the game while my crystals rack up for the fun of it (1.5M's on the near horizon)!Several years later, my ilu game is still elevating. I've gradually learned how to see the puzzles' logic in new ways, continually challenging myself to wean my play away from using this or that tool or help. Ilu's still my favorite game for hundreds of design reasons - the logic structure, the aesthetics, the levels, the tools, the daily challenge... PLUS, since it has no ads, I can make ilu a reliably good, clean, ad-free part of my daily puzzles and brain play. I was sad to read they've made their last updates - til I realized ilu's already really kinda perfect. I hope to play it for many years to come. Everything about ilu is frankly just right for me.

Pretty relaxing but still a little challenging

The music in this game is really chill and the sound effects are pleasant so it makes the game kinda relaxing to play. It’s also a pretty unique puzzle game to my knowledge and it’s been a lot of fun to play!My favorite thing about the game is actually the hint system. Free unlimited hints with no micro transaction is already great but on top of that, it doesn’t just tell you where to put a light. It actually shows you the next logical move and explains how placing a light or maker in a locations affects the board and why you should pay attention to it. It makes me feel like the game is teaching me and I actually don’t abuse the free hints because I feel like it’s teaching me well enough!I think the only thing I might like to see improved is a way to “imagine” placed lights, without committing to them and ruining your first try score. The hint system will preview lights for you but I wish you could do that on your own. I’m bad at visualizing what will be blocked or covered. Just a little thing.Over all though this is a pretty cool and unique game!
