Love how it captures the scans, but…

The subscription seems too expensive, I understand how much it needs to process things quickly and everything. But at least add a trial so we can experience and experiment the app for a week or few days. So we can value the app and its features and see how worth is paying for a subscription.

Good, but one complaint

I downloaded the app and scanned myself, but I did a somewhat poor job and figured a rescan would do better. I deleted the old scan and made a new one, and this time it looked much better! Figuring I could set the conditions just a bit better than before, I deleted it and made a new one… but then the app forced me into a subscription if I wanted to do another. I understand that the app takes a lot of processing power to generate these models, but some sort of warning before I blow all my scans would have been nice, because now I don’t have any usable data since I didn’t export either of the previous ones. The scans were decent, and the speed of the processing was very impressive. But can I really only make 2 before paying so much each month?

You get two free scans, which is fair. You should be able to use your first to kind of learn how it works and get a feel for it, and your second as your actual avatar. What isn’t fair however, is that it’s 20$ a month for FIVE scans. It shouldn’t even be a subscription, let alone a limited number or a price over ten, especially considering it costs 10$ to export it to a game, even with pro. The avatars themselves don’t even generate right if you don’t have pro, even if you follow the directions to a tee. It says it takes two minutes to upload, but in reality it takes around ten. God forbid you wear baggy clothing, because it will render the rest of you as obese. Such a shame, as I would spend a one time fee of 10-15$ on a permanent pro membership in a HEARTBEAT. Devs, you’re so close, please listen.

Hi, thanks for your feedback, we are working on improving the technology and especially quality of scanning baggy clothing. We also added more servers to the backend so the processing time should be more stable now.

Hi, thanks for your feedback, we are working on improving the technology and especially quality of scanning baggy clothing. We also added more servers to the backend so the processing time should be more stable now.

By far, the best Avatar/character app, I have found. It is Easy as it comes, and in less then 2 minutes, I had entered the matrix! Can be used in the newrer games, as you can actually be the character.I’m hoping to 3D print myself, and try somecrtutorials on Animation software. Just wish it was a “for life” software, for personal licenses, or special price for disabled :).
