InRange checks your job postings against the U.S. state and city pay-transparency laws they touch — and shows you the actual statute, not an opinion.
Pay-transparency laws were written one state at a time. A posting that is fine in Texas can be a $10,000-per-violation problem in Colorado, and a role marked "remote" can touch many states at once. Most teams find out after a complaint.
WHAT IT DOES
• Add a job posting by link or pasted text, with its client and location.
• See which states apply and which are missing a required pay range.
• Read the exact statute text, with a link to the primary source and the date we verified it.
• Copy ready-to-paste wording to fix a missing range.
• Get weekly automatic re-checks, and an email when a range is quietly removed from a live posting.
• Export a PDF report for each posting, and an evidence log on Agency accounts.
WHY A CITATION, NOT AN OPINION
InRange never tells you what to do — it shows what the law says and lets you or your counsel decide. Where a rule is genuinely ambiguous, such as a fully remote role with no state tie, we say so instead of guessing. This is not legal advice.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Smarter checks: beyond the pay range, InRange now also looks for benefits and application close dates where a state asks for them. A posting with only a range is marked Requires review and the missing item is named.
- Clearer reasons: open-ended pay ($150,000+) and single amounts are flagged with the reason.
- New optional Employees field: states whose law starts at a larger company size are left out of the result. Saved per client.
- Easier sign-in: use a passkey or password, or get a one-time code by email and enter it right in the app.
- Smaller fixes and polish.
