It adds no value

The app doesn’t provide actually useful information that must all be available. It doesn’t allow multiple alerts, so doing a slow leak detection and fast leak detection is impossible. Sometimes when water is running it shows zero gallons being used at the time. It doesn’t show when the last generation was, nor when the next one is likely to happen. One time I had an internet outage and the app sent me a wrong alert putting me in panic about the state of the valve, but there was nothing wrong with flow or valve. If that happens while I was on vacation I would have panicked. So far I didn’t have to use the valve on/off feature remotely, but the $100 spent with the thought have having an additional smart home app/data point is a wrong decision. Save your money to get the automated valve if your driven by the idea of getting something smart other than on/off. And of course there is no integration or api to use with home automation platforms like home assistant, but then without much data that would just make the app more embarrassing

I had high hopes for this - I have issues with device to WiFi connectivity (right next to router) occasionally but it eventually reconnects.
The big disappointment is the lack of regeneration information - it alerts on low salt, need to use cleaner, continuous water flow...but won’t tell you when it last regenerated or gallons between regens.

It seems like this M45 unit goes through more salt than the broken unit it replaced - regen info would be helpful. I’m going to have to put a noise sensor on it to see how often it actually regens at 2am...that feature should be native to the app.

4 month experience

As others have said, this app could have a lot more value if it made existing data visible to user. Estimated time to next regen, past regen event logs, etc.

The issue I have having that seems fixable is that it loses wireless connection every few weeks and won’t regain it on its own. I do get a notification, but it requires me to go down in the basement, unplug the unit, wait, and plug back in. It then quickly regains connection, so I know it isn’t my network problem. I would think the software could do a reset on its own and not need my intervention.

With limited vale data and the requirement to physically visit the softener every week or two, I am not sure what I gained with wireless connectivity
