Employees are not trained to use the app
The app keeps track of your Jimboy’s purchases. When the total reaches $100, it sets a $10 credit and resets the counter. Too bad the whole process is pointless. The employees don’t know how to apply the credit so I never get to use it. I’ve had this same experience at a couple different locations. No luck. It would be better if they just lowered their prices. I am inclined not to go to Jimboy’s now because of this annoying app.
I’m willing to change my review if they can tell me what I’m doing wrong. My review is based entirely on the app! Not their food or service!
I absolutely LOVE Jimboy’s food!, but the app is so frustrating! I almost always get the same thing since I don’t get a chance to eat there too often. I get the two (beef) enchilada combo plate. I ask for extra rice as my sides instead of the beans & salad. On the app it’s MAKING me select three sides though before I can add it to my cart. So I just pick rice for all three. Then I go to checkout & it says I selected one too many items & to please delete one. Problem is there is no way to do this that I can see. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, or if it’s the app. 🤷♀️ Again, I LOVE their food! I’ve never had any problems with the staff either. When I order inside they do a fantastic job! It is just the app that I’m having issues with. I have a toddler, & sometimes it’s just easier to pop in for a pickup order real quick when she’s in a mood, than it is to wait for it in store. Thanks for letting me vent.
It’s cool that it keeps track of points the ability to order ahead, and upload balances on cards (even automated preloads, as a single mom of a teen who tends to unwisely spend my $ on other items while out and about with friends that’s meant for food. Now I know he’ll be eating since it’s on his card. Convenience!! )
HOWEVER, I cannot justify 5 stars since I never got my free taco for downloading the app and creating an account, as ADVERTISED! Also why no free item for birthdays? Nearly ALL major food rewards apps include that.
(Tip: May want developers to debug the selection for zooming Twitter images from freezing the app. Nbd, rather an annoyance)
