Description

John Ray's Space Adventure
The search for the ancient Xec device

Archeology, Adventure, Artifacts. To excavate where no space archeologist has dug before.

A retro point and click adventure game about John Ray, a space archaeologist, under contract by the wealthy Mr. Maljerk. John's adventure begins with the search for ancient artifacts scattered throughout the local star system. These artifacts are part of a powerful device left by a technologically advanced but mostly forgotten Xec race.
Travel between planets, talk to people and robots, make friends, collect inventory items, solve puzzles and interact with the world. This is gameplay in the best point and click tradition.

Game design, writing and development by one indie developer.

Features:
- John Ray's Space Adventure is a classic point & click adventure game.
- Beautiful pixel art (hope you like it).
- Wonderful scenes and worlds are waiting to be discovered.

Point and click adventure!!

Great throwback to the Kings Quest, Monkey island, LucasArts games of yore. I am always searching for anything reminiscent of those games, and this one scratched that itch! The only bad news is it came out recently, which means I’ll probably have to wait a while for any more offerings from the creators. Please keep ‘em coming!

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much. From one adventure game enthusiast to another, I’m glad you liked it!

Buggy with average puzzles

Fairly linear gameplay w/ average puzzles but generally enjoyable. Unfortunately, the app automatically shuts down periodically, and although it looks like your place is saved, certain actions you’ve previously taken are unrecognized (like the loss of crystals previously given to Maljerk—he says you still owe them—or to the aliens). I’ll have to restart the whole game and save often to reach the end at this point, which isn’t worth it.

Developer Response ,

Sorry to hear about the stability issues. I will look into it. Can you tell me which device you played it on?

Great old school game!

All I need now is a pay per minute line to call for hints. If you grew up with games like monkey island and space quest you’ll like it.

Developer Response ,

Glad to hear you're having fun. No need to pay - you can get hints for free :). If you search for "john ray space adventure walkthrough," you will find a walkthrough on the Adventure Gamers' website.
