Release Notes v1.37.5 This release targets performance at scale: large projects, long project lists, and devices with lots of photos. Performance & Bug Fixes Faster navigation in large projects Projects with many scoped tasks (100+, 200+) are now 10x+ faster to navigate: Scope preview and scope editor Change requests General navigation throughout the project Faster photo capture Some users reported extreme slowdown while taking photos, with delays as long as 60 seconds per photo. This has been fixed. Photo taking is now at least 2x faster overall, and often much more. Faster thumbnail generation Thumbnail image generation is 2x faster. Price input fix Fixed: text flickering back to zero while editing prices. Rapid-tap count buttons The plus and minus count buttons now respond to rapid tapping, so you can quickly dial in values without waiting between taps. Power saving behavior updated Screen dimming for power saving has been removed. Camera pausing is kept as the sole power-saving behavior. A rare crash related to camera pausing has also been fixed.

Kai Pro v1.31.0 – Keep projects moving, even after “closeout” Closed projects now stay visible in your project lists and on the property page, clearly marked as Closeout | Approved. If you need to do follow‑up work after closeout, admins can reactivate a closed project and automatically create an Addendum scope that builds on the last approved scope—no need to rebuild from scratch. Cleaner, more accurate financials Negative Purchase Orders for contractor changes When you move work off a contractor using a change order, Kai now supports negative PO amounts so money being removed is clearly tracked and totals stay accurate. Original vs. edited prices are always visible When someone manually edits a price, Kai now keeps a clear record of: The original price The new, edited price The difference between them This makes it much easier to review and audit price changes. Fewer false change orders We fixed several edge cases that could mark items as “changed” when they really hadn’t changed (for example, some deferred / tenant‑responsible flags and some group label edits). You should now see cleaner, more trustworthy change orders. Smoother workflows for Field and Office Scope approval counts that match what you see The Scope Approval screen now shows the number of actual scoped items that need approval, not background template tasks. Documentation Tasks appear correctly in Scope of Work When you choose a Documentation Task in the scope, it now reliably appears in the generated Scope of Work document. Defaults that behave like defaults Contractors assigned as default contractors in Admin now correctly appear as defaults in the Scope Editor in the Field App, even if they were set up after the project was dispatched. Notes kept to a reasonable size Notes fields now have a consistent character limit across the app. This keeps documents readable and prevents extremely long notes from breaking layouts. Field App improvements iPad trackpad crash resolved We fixed a crash that could occur when selecting or scrolling through contractors using a trackpad or mouse on iPad Pro with a keyboard. You can now safely use trackpad input in contractor pickers. More reliable select lists & data syncing (under the hood) Ongoing improvements to select list behavior make it easier to choose contractors and other options without running into iOS picker quirks. We’ve also laid groundwork to better re‑sync photos for a scan if uploads fail, improving overall reliability in the field. Admin & configuration improvements Change project type after creation (Admin only) If a project is created with the wrong type, admins can now update the project type without recreating the project. The change is tracked in the project history. Safer handling when a market has no users/contractors When creating a Project Property in a market that doesn’t yet have assignable users or contractors, the app now provides clearer feedback instead of silently failing.
