Too good to be true?

This app is unexpectedly genius. The main reason being it could be considered legal. Eventually yt may try to take this app down but the fact that it’s on the App Store says a lot. I normally don’t reverie apps but this one is like a hidden gem you need to try out once at least. Ofc the interface might be a bit annoying since u need to look up videos to watch. But in my opinion that’s fantastic!!! Why? Well it kinda doubles as a screen time controller. Cuz yt scrolling shorts aren’t there + you can’t fall into the addiction trap of the yt video suggestion algorithm. This app makes yt much more old fashioned but just so much better. And hey developer. I really want you to see this message cuz I really appreciate you small developers creating something really special to use few specific rare needed peoples… seriously don’t stop what you are doing. If your app is taken down make another one…One more thing: you wanna know where I found this… on a yt ad.. lol… normal I never click on yt ads cuz they can be dangerously especially when they make claims as this one did… but… oh nah bruh I’m so glad I clicked….Thanks again for making my life a little better!

Thanks for the review! It means a lot. This app was built because yt got lazy. Why can't I add a playlist to another playlist? Why can't I set a custom sleep timer? Why can't I export a playlist as a bunch of links? A dev will build the world that they want to live in. I am glad you find this world helpful and useful as well.

A Solid Streaming App

An overall decent streaming app that has a lot going for it. It's not as streamlined as other apps but once you get used to it you can't really go back. While having no ads is nice, it's not the only reason I'm rating this so highly. This app makes a lot of sense when you get used to using it, but I believe that's the biggest downside to this app, you have to get used to using it.What's really holding this app back are the minor inconveniences. For example, your music pausing for a second whenever you exit the app or turn off your phone, then resumes again. When you're searching for a song and you hit 'go' on your keyboard it doesn't do anything and you have to hit the giant button with the word 'search' right below just to find your music. And especially how you can't skip songs through your control panel or through Siri. These minor things make it really difficult for me to enjoy this app to its fullest extent, but I still like using this app. I will continue using it and I do recommend everyone to try it. This app is also one of the only music apps to still work while using a vpn. Sure Musicana and Demus are more streamlined, but if it doesn't work while I have my vpn on what's the point in using it? It's nice to see the developer genuinely taking feedback and making such a wonderful app.

- The “pausing for the player“, “lack of control panel skip”, and “lack of Siri integration” are all related. This is because I am using a different player than the other yt clients. They usually will go towards a “pip-like” player that has a smooth transition to start but gets progressively worse and unstable as time goes on. The one I am using is a little odd but is more stable. I am looking into Siri integration with iOS Shortcuts, so if I can get that to work it will be available 2 updates from now.- Pressing “Go” on search is a good one. I originally made it this way because otherwise you wouldn’t be able to scroll down to see the other autocomplete results with the keyboard being in the way. I will instead hide the keyboard when scrolling on the autocomplete search results like how Apple does it on the App Store. This will be fixed in the next update.- Thank you for the review! I appreciate the feedback as it is easy to see how I experience the app but next to impossible to see how others do.

This is great, probably the best music thing on the App Store (namely because of the lack of ads). It does have two downsides though. First, you can’t download songs to listen to offline. I’m not sure if it’s possible to add that as a feature, but it would make the app a lot better. Additionally, when you exit the app and play the music in the background, there’s a little delay and the music skips back about a second. It’s pretty minor but still notable. Otherwise, great app.

Thanks for the review! I am not looking into offline downloads as that would require rebuilding most of the app. The skipping is a known thing and is because of video loading. I am not sure if this is possible to fix but I’m looking at other apps to see if this can be done more seamlessly.

Yup yt changed something in their end. For now if you press the full screen icon within the player, then press the picture-in-picture icon, then move the app to the background, then the app will behave as before. I will try to see if I can make it a smoother process in the next update.
