Great Game, Could Be More

This game is great, from ships, customization, and gameplay is great and I enjoy it as a pass time. It has great detail and good strategy required for the game in a more arcade feel of gameplay. I thoroughly enjoy this game and you can easily get through things without spending an arm and a leg. Now for some things I find could be fixed. One thing I feel would be cool is like a Fleet/Guild system and having Fleet battles where its just pvp for leaderboards and rewards, or maybe add seasonal control of a map of the Caribbean and you fight with your fleet over control over the map. I feel the game is definitely missing that multiplayer and community aspect that keeps players coming back, which leads to my next thing is that the game can be repetitive. Once you have all you want theres not much to do other than fight mainly AI opponents because theres not a huge active player base. I see somethings have changed, but it says last updated 4 years ago and I feel that deters people away and feel a good strong update to the game like a multiplayer one I had mentioned would drive a lot of players to the game. Other than those, I enjoy this game and hope the devs make plans to go further with it!

Solid naval warfare during the Golden Age of Sail

There is something to be said for turning broadside and pounding your opponent with cannon fire. King of Sails is an intuitive, fun, and exciting game. The visuals, audio, and game play are all well done, and the platform is stable and reliable. Yes, there are concerns when ships and Captains are mismatched in the same battle. Some possible solutions: - Each player on a winning team is rewarded extra silver and gold if their team wins. - Each player on a team is rewarded a pro rata share of the battle rewards earned by Captains ranked 15 or higher on their team. - If a Captain ranked 15 or higher is assigned to a team for an upcoming battle, then the game software should attempt to assign a Captain ranked 15 or higher to the other team. This allows everyone to benefit from having higher ranked Captains and stronger ships on their team. All of the Tampa Buccaneers earned extra rewards for having Tom Brady on the team. It should be the same for King of Sails.

More variations

I love the game, I love the concept, and it’s been a year and then some of playing; only writing a review now. Assisted kills should be a thing, as it will decrease the amounts of janitors. Have it where they don’t count as full kills, only partial, and therefore, partial the rewards. I just quit a game because my prey (who were both one hits) were killed not by me, but by a prince royal. And mind you these are the first two ships I rivaled with in that game! So while I’m taking the hits and fighting back, the prince royal puts my efforts to waste! And he got all the credit of what I did!
Secondly, I believe that there should be different game modes, as grinding and playing game after game, can be a bore. Have new game modes like ‘capture the flag’ ‘duels’ and seeing how long you can fight an endless amount of enemy ships by yourself. The enemies can be CPUs, shouldn’t be too hard seeing how you have millions of battles you can analyze and place in to the programming. Also, speaking of CPUs, I have myself half convinced that the ‘players’ are computers and not real people. Establish a friend system and prove that the players are people. Have it where you can appraise your pvp skills against your friend in battles.

Like I said, it’s a great game, with a great concept, but it just needs variations.
