It’s fixed - I love this app

This was my favorite app. Have all my house on a schedule so the lights come on at specific times. I opened the app tonight and all of my devices are gone. I don’t have time to add them all over again. I see others are complaining about the same problem. Hopefully the app developers will respond. They don’t have a refresh button so how do you do that? So disappointed. Update: The developers say to send the info to them in the app but they never respond. Even if they don’t know what to do to fix it at least respond and tell me that. UPDATE: I finally logged a ticket using my computer on their website. I received and email back within 24 hours and they knew exactly what was wrong. My original login was using my phone number. When the app updated it says to login in with your email address which I did - but that created a new account. All I had to do was log out of the app and then log in with my phone number. It was like magic - all of my devices were there. I am changing my review back to 5 stars. This has been such a godsend for keeping my house lit up when I’m not home. And I love the access using Alexa.

Hi Tazgeek. Thanks for reaching out! You are correct that this is something we have heard from other users, and the solution is usually not what you think. After an extended period of not opening the app, or after an app update, you are prompted to log back into the app. When others have experienced this issue, usually they have logged into the app originally with their phone number as the username and are now logging in with their email. This creates 2 separate accounts and we usually find their devices on the original phone number based account. Hopefully this helps, but if not please contact us at www.kmc.support for further troubleshooting. Thank you for choosing KMC!

MARVELOUS!

The updated app is simply marvelous. It incorporates the features of the Smart Life app into a single KMC app. Now, I no longer need separate apps for outlets, lights, heaters, etc. and another for garage doors and other devices. Also, the app performs seamlessly without crashes. Nice job, KMC.

Update: Since the above glowing review, KMC is no longer supporting Smart Life apps. This is unfortunate because I had already installed 3 Smart Life garage door openers using the KMC and needed to install a 4th. Before I could finish the project, KMC pulled its support for the Smart Life app ,meaning I can no longer use the KMC app to operate all 4 of my garage doors from a single app.

To KMC: please bring back the Smart Life support for those of us who have previously committed to your third party services.

Latest update a disappointment

On the main screen with all your devices there used be an easy to see round power icon you tapped and it turned solid green when you turned the device on and gray when off. In its place now is a rectangle with super tiny text telling you it’s on or off and when tapped it takes you to the large button page. So now it takes two taps to operate a plug. Who on earth thought was an improvement?
