I originally downloaded the app to get answers and that was about it. Eventually I found myself actually using the app and talking to fellow students and interacting with them, making friends, helping one another out. It was amazing!! I applied to be an ambassador, and I got the opportunity to become one. Ever since then the community has been growing around me and I’m meeting new people and learning new things every day. The app has some pretty fun features, like studybots, group chats, and class schedules. Overall, being a part of this community has been great and generally improved my own mental stability because school has always been something I’ve struggled with. Thank you to the Knowunity community I highly recommend this app 10/10!!

I originally downloaded the app to get answers and that was about it. Complete App “Makeover” - No Longer A Good App.

I downloaded this app in late 2023 for help with school and it was legitimately the holy grail of studying, literally the best resource I have to this day ever found. However, sometime this year in 2024 where I hadn’t used it in a while there was a complete app restart, and every single function and purpose of the app changed. When I first got it, the many many users it had could upload materials like flashcards, notes, and quizzes for everyone else on the apps disposal and you could make all the same things for yourself, too - even if they were private. But with the app “makeover” every single part of this app that made it so good was erased and it is now a pre-made curriculum developed by what I assume is the app creators and now everything you have to achieve a certain goal to access. There is no more community and support from others around the would available. In my personal experience, the best part of the app was the flashcards tool, and now it’s erased all of my previously made sets of cards and no longer has the tool. It used to be a great app, but not anymore. If you were looking for what it was previously then look elsewhere.

This used to be one of the greatest apps for volunteering hours, community engagement and note sharing. I started being engaged in 2023 on this app because of the community concept. However, as of right now 2024 the whole app completely changed! It’s looks so much AI generated where community of students is no where to be found. There used to be discussions of people having questions and users being able to answer them, flashcard + quiz features that you could do to get your volunteer hours which I needed and now it’s gone. I got at least 10+ hours for being an ambassador but the whole app changed. I don’t know what made them think there was anything wrong with the concept, I wholeheartedly loved the platform and it was somewhere where students could actually collaborate. It was a unique and fun app that I was able to help students to learn and answer anything they had problems on as well as my academic journey. If anything the app turned into an ordinary AI driven app that I personally thought was useless compared to the old version. Nothing good lasts forever I guess…hope we can keep the old version back.

I used to love this app because it didn’t make you pay to do the simplest things but now since they’ve “upgraded” it it’s so much worse. I have had problems with random bugs since the update and the approach they took was very strange, you can no longer upload your own study sets so I’m not really sure where the app is getting the questions that are on the homepage. Also the whole point of apps like these are so that you can study your own material and get help from other users and they have completely removed that. Despite all these things my biggest complaint is that they deleted ALL of my study sets (over 1,000 terms) without even telling me that they would. I have no way to access them anymore and it would’ve been nice to at least been notified. If you are thinking of installing this app you can just know that it is NOT for studying your own material, it’s more like triviacrack in that you answer random questions about a topic that you are interested in. Just please keep in mind that they do things spontaneously so try not to upload anything unless you have a backup.
