Labelscope turns your camera into a search tool for ingredient labels. Add the words you want to watch for — "palm oil", "milk", "sesame", anything you choose — then point your camera at an ingredient list. Labelscope reads the label as you go and draws a red box around any of your words the moment they appear on screen. No typing the ingredients out. No squinting at four-point print in a supermarket aisle. KNOWS WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE ACTUALLY CALLED Labels rarely use the word you have in mind. Add "milk" and Labelscope also looks for whey, casein and lactose. Add "peanut" and it looks for groundnut. Add "wheat" and it looks for gluten and semolina — while correctly ignoring "buckwheat", which is a different thing entirely. Multi-word entries work too, so "tree nuts" finds what it should instead of matching nothing. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY • Everything happens live — no photo to take, no button to press, no waiting • Your keyword list is saved between sessions and takes seconds to edit • Matches stay listed while you scan, so you can move the camera without losing what it found • Works on any printed ingredient list, in any shop YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Your keyword list is stored only on your device. Camera images are processed on the phone and are never saved or uploaded anywhere. The app shows ads, which involves the usual advertising data described in our privacy policy — and a single one-time purchase removes them permanently. PLEASE READ Labelscope is a convenience aid, not a substitute for reading labels carefully. It can misread small, glossy, damaged or unusual print, its list of ingredient names is not exhaustive, and it cannot detect ingredients that a label does not list. A word not being highlighted does not mean it isn't there. Always check the label yourself, especially when it matters.
