Lessons feature is nice

Solid app if you’re looking to do conversation practice. It was pricey before tbh, but they lowered the cost and added a free trial.The lessons feature is pretty good if you’re looking to learn concepts in a new language, and the conversation avatars are nice for practicing speaking.I’m using this for French currently 🇫🇷

LangTalk is nothing special. It is built off of OpenAI’s GPT-4 (not even the newest) model. This becomes especially apparent when generating longer responses, as LangTalk is slow and clunky. Not only that, but you have to PAY to use this model. The cheapest plan is $12 a month for 150 messages a month. That’s less than 5 messages a day. How is anyone supposed to learn at a rate like that? You’re much better off using the plethora of Spanish tutoring GPTs inside the ChatGPT app - which use the same GPT model if not better - for completely free.What a joke.

Here are a few changes we've made:[1] Price: We dropped the cost of all plans, and they're now unlimited messages.[2] Free trial: We added a free trial so people can give the app a go for free.[3] Lessons: We added language lessons to help people learn vocab & grammar.[4] Roleplay: We're testing a role-play feature (in beta) to help people learn language concepts through fun scenarios.Give a go at the free trial to test all these new features, and let us know what you think 🙏🏽
