$1500 just landed. The next payday is 30 days out. Keep your card away from everything that wants to zero it.
HOW IT WORKS
Drag your card with one finger. Dodge the charges, catch the odd bit of income, make it to payday. A month runs two minutes: you lose, you restart, your tea doesn't even go cold.
WHAT KILLS YOU
Coffee. Subscriptions. Food delivery. A game sale. The dentist. A friend's wedding. That AI subscription you forgot about. Then there's rent, taxes and insurance — those you can't dodge at all, only brace for: the game warns you a couple of seconds before they hit.
Prices rise 20% every month. Your salary doesn't. Just like real life.
PANIC
Run low and the screen goes red, charges come faster, and the alarm doesn't help. The last ten seconds before payday are their own special ride.
SEASONS
Every month the world changes around your wallet. January resurrects your subscriptions. September hauls school supplies onto the field. October hangs spider webs and sends bats. November turns every card into a price tag. December strings a gift garland across the sky. Renamed cards, new prices, new rules — Black Friday Storm, Wedding Week, the AI Swarm — the game tells you exactly what it's doing to your month.
SKILL DECIDES
COMBO — catch incomes and dodge charges close. The combo climbs, your income doubles. Touch an avoidable expense and it all burns.
NEAR MISS — let a charge slide past your edge and you keep a slice of what it would have cost. The pricier the month, the more a near miss is worth.
GOLDEN INCOME — rare, fast, gone in a blink. Pays four times.
MONTH OF THE DAY
One month for everyone, a new one at midnight. The spawns are seeded by the date, your first attempt is the one that counts, the rest is practice. Survive it and share your square — Wordle rules, but about money.
DAILY QUESTS
Three every day, a fresh set at midnight. Rewards are card packs, never an edge in a run. Finish all three on seven days and the legendary Employee of the Month card is yours. No pack will ever drop it. The company is proud. The salary is the same.
COLLECTION
15 cards, and each one is an ability with a catch, not just a skin. Overtime: side gigs pay 30% more, but coffee hits four times as hard. To the Moon: income x2.1, except half of it burns to nothing. Credit Line: the bank covers one fatal hit, and you pay back double. Open packs, stack copies, level up mastery. Five cards are locked behind riddles.
AFTER THE RUN
A receipt of your whole month — share it as a picture or paste it as text. And a reminder on your own payday: will you make it to the next one?
