Description

Axena Health’s Leva® Pelvic Health System is FDA-cleared to help treat bladder and chronic bowel leakage. Leva’s motion sensors and app together help you train and strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles by displaying real-time visualization of your pelvic floor muscle movement. Multiple highly sensitive motion sensors display movement when your pelvic floor muscles lift and contract to help ensure you can perform your pelvic floor muscle training correctly and consistently. The Leva app tracks and records your Leva usage and lift data to help you understand your progress over time. Leva requires a prescription from your healthcare provider.

— Train for 2 ½ minutes, twice daily for 12 weeks.
— Leva is easy to use remotely, in the privacy of your home or on the go.
— Leva provides discreet access to a personal coach to help you reach your symptom improvement goals.

Okay, a couple of things. I have been using this app for about 6 weeks and I can report that it functions well and doesn’t crash. But there are several things that are frustrating to me.

The instructions are displayed during every training session, and you must click through every time. After one or two sessions, this information is just not necessary. We’re busy women and that’s why this product appeals to us. Efficiency is important.
After each training session, the results are shown in comparison to other users. This really is not helpful. I do not care about other people’s results. I care about MY results, and I’d love to see my improvement rather than being compared to others, which is arbitrary.
I think it would be helpful to have rewards for reaching goals. For example, a badge for completing all sessions in a week or month. I’d also like to see how long I could maintain a streak. These visual representations would be huge motivators.
I think that overall this is a good app, and I hope that my comments are read and taken into consideration.

Unreliable, even frustrating

App locks up and data doesn't sync to Leva “coaches”, who then tell u you’re behind on your exercises when you’re not. Data is lost so continuous days not counted. I don’t think we the device consistently measures exercises. I even had a replacement device with only slightly less problems. They blamed my internet which is fine for working at home online on large data systems. After a few months of exercises 2x daily my symptoms were only slightly improved.
