Liftin' is a premium app, but you can try it for free. Track up to five workouts per month with the free version.

You can upgrade to Liftin' Unlimited right in the app, this is the full version without any limitations. As an introductory offer, you get a full year of Liftin' Unlimited for only $4.99. After that the price is $14.99 / year.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.

Simplicity is a good thing

I have to give credit where credit is due. The simple nature of this app is what makes me WANT to use it and therefore be more consistent with my lifting regimen. I have been a weightlifter on and off for 10 years. I don’t have aspirations to be a professional bodybuilder or competitor, I only lift for myself. Is this app my ideal app for lifting? No. There’s a few small features I wish I could have (emphasis on small; because I want to retain the simplicity of the app) however it’s the closest thing I’ve found and I’m really enjoying it. Even the option to switch the app icon from light to dark on your home screen is a nice touch! A lot of other “workout” apps don’t solely focus on lifting and even the ones that do, they all have too many features which most of us won’t even use. Those apps cater to people who’s lives revolve around the gym and are training for the Olympia, not to mentioned the constant intrusive ads that render using the app impossible.

I also don’t like to or want to track literally every movement I do in the gym. I just need something simple to track the BIG exercises - Bench Press, Deadlift and Squats to begin with, with a few other major lifts.

Warning for free app users: Prompt for the pro version brick the app on Watch until upgraded to Pro

I am enjoying Liftin’ as it works perfectly with my Apple Watch, enabling me to leave my phone at home during my workouts....Until I got to the gym for my 6th workout and couldn’t use the app because I didn’t upgrade yet. I would have been happy to do so (and have upgraded it now), but since I didn’t have my phone I had to leave the gym and grab it to update.

For me and, I suspect is the case for many users, this is likely the first time they are tracking their workouts and have little knowledge in their head about measurements or workout cadences, and need the app to guide them. It would be nice if you offered a warning or notification prior to simply shutting down. I almost didn’t subscribe, but I appreciate the simplicity and effectiveness of this app.

This is a use case I didn’t think about during development. I will definitely add an extra warning when the user has one free workout left as a heads up. Thank you for bringing this to light!

I don’t write reviews normally but I had to for this app

Easily would give 6 stars if I could. Perfectly tracks my workouts and is very affordable. Compatibility between the phone app and watch is absolutely phenomenal. Very simple and easy to pick up. If you don’t think this app has it then look again because you can probably add your workout yourself. I’ve been using this app for about 6 months now and it’s hands down the best I’ve ever used. If you’re debating getting it, let this be your sign to get it. Only complaint I have is very small. I wish there was an option to turn off linked workouts overall because I do a variety of workouts on different days and I don’t want to have to remember to take off linked tracking but other than that small thing I love this app!!!
