Basic functions but needs updating

The good: You can check your balance, make contribution updates online, and work through a quick planning scenario to see if you are on track for retirement. Clean layout.

The bad: The app ask to remember my device each time I log in, even when I’ve just logged in minutes earlier. And like other reviewers, it seems like a slightly modified version of a the website page, not a fully developed app. Touch ID and face recognition would be welcome for shorter login times, and while it wouldn’t be used frequently, the ability to change investments on the fly would be nice. I don’t want to have to use a mobile website or my computer to do what I should be able to do on my phone app. In these busy times, anything pushing us out of the app and onto the website can be frustrating and cause us to give up. Just the way things are these days. Please update to include full and quick functionality.

Easy Access to my Employer Plan

As most people know, most employer plans are mutual fund platforms. This provides security for the plan and diversification for the account holder. These are not investment advisory accounts where someone manages it for you, so the active mutual fund managers serve in that role. As the record keeper, Lincoln provides these managed and/or index funds in their plans, handles and tracks transactions for customers, and provides quarterly statements. There is a regular fee for those services because this is a company, not a government agency funded by taxes. There may also be investment expenses charged by the funds for what they do, for the same reason. This app allows me access to the information I would normally see in my statement or online 24/7. There is also an Apple Watch app, but I don’t have one of those. I have reasonable expectations, so I am very happy with this.

Will only show balance

Had this app ever since we opened a rather large annuity account with Lincoln. Don’t know where the screen shots came from in the App Store but I haven’t seen them yet. All I can do is see a balance. I have tried from day one to get all statements email delivered only to fail to do that. Always ends up with an error page that’s frustrating. For such a well established company I was expecting much better. My small local bank has a much better app for on line banking than this. I know it’s not the end of the world because the app is probably still in development stage but even logging on to the full website is no better. Hopefully this will improve soon. I haven’t placer a phone call to support as of yet but there has to be a way to get the info I am looking for.
