I’m learning Italian and found myself so encouraged by this game. It isn’t a bunch of repetitive games like Duolingo (used to be before they got rid of theirs for some reason). I love the storyline. The practice area is fun too but story keeps you engaged! I really love the learning technique, how you can adjust how many new words you learn and how often until mastered.
However my ONLY critique would be that for the written portions of words, give us a FULL alphabet. For example, it starts with true or false, then you select the best word to fit the phrase, Then it moves to you spelling the word using the letters provided. This is all well and good but sometimes I find myself looking and descrambling the clue before I actually try to decode the original word that I need to translate.
I really hope developers read what I just wrote!! I bought the three month trial and about to buy the lifetime pass but I really want to see my idea submitted/acknowledged and for something to be done about the ease of the descrambling of words… perhaps give us a couple extra unnecessary letters??? I love this game!!! Grazie Mille Lingo Legends!

Hi there, thanks so much for your feedback and support!! We've definitely considered adding a question type where you need to answer with the whole keyboard. We'll look into this again, I especially like your idea of adding in some unnecessary letters. This could be a great option. Thanks for taking the time to share your review!!

Great game, but the voice recordings are a little low quality

this is a fun little game with an easy to understand combat system, nice character design & animation, and a good soundtrack. it starts out a little slow, but once you get to the boss called odys, the battles can become a genuine (but not unfair!) challenge, requiring you to tailor your deck to the area you’re in. i enjoyed the gameplay so much at that point that i pretty much blew through the story from odys until the current “end” by playing at work every day. and this is as someone who normally finds card-based combat frustrating!

anyway. at the time, the game used text-to-speech voices. i know that hearing text-to-speech isn’t the ideal way to learn language, but it was serviceable enough. it seems that since then, the japanese course has received real voice recordings... but unfortunately, they can be a little hard to hear. they’re often quiet, distant-sounding, and/or echo-y. i do think it’s a great sign that voice recordings are being added, and i’m sure it’ll get better in the future. but for now, i think that’s something to be aware of, and it’s the reason my review is four stars instead of five.

looking forward to future updates and improvements, and i can’t wait for new story content after the frontier ^^

Hi! It's great to hear you've enjoyed the gameplay so far. The next zone, Dreamlight, will be released this summer!

I appreciate you mentioning the quality of the voice recordings as well. We'll be making improvements there. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and feedback!

An Engaging & Interactive Way to Learning

UPDATE: I wasn’t sure how to revise my previous review, so I’ll leave another review. At first my experience was a little rough during release day as I wanted to tie one of my separate emails to the game and not my Apple ID. I was unfortunately greeted with a bug where the attempt to create an account with my email left me on a frozen screen. So I exited the game and killed the app and was greeted with a black screen anytime I tried to open the application and it assumed I was already logged in. I contacted support and minutes later they worked with me to resolve my issue with my account. After I finally gained access to the game, I played my way to about a Bronze III rank and found myself addicted to both wanting to relearn and the French language and battle monster strategically since I love RPGs. This game is quite fun and it helps me retain information a bit better than I did in school. Really enjoying this so far and looking forward to the more advanced levels later.

Developer Response ,

Hi there! I am so sorry you haven't been able to get through the registration. We have released a new version that resolves this issue. Please update to version 1.11.5 and you should be taken back to the new account screen where you can sign up again. If you have any further issues you can also reach me at
