LingoDrop
Learn language, one drop a day
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
One word a day. Two minutes. That is the whole thing.
LingoDrop is not a game. No lives to lose, no leagues to climb, no lesson tree to get lost in. You open it, today's words are already chosen, and then you are done for the day.
And it remembers for you. Every word comes back on its own, right before you would have forgotten it, so the year actually adds up to something.
TWENTY COURSES
Learn Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese or Hindi from English. Or learn English from any of those ten. Each course is a full 365-word year with its own progress, and you can switch whenever you like.
Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Hindi show the pronunciation under every word and sentence, so you are never staring at a script you cannot read.
WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE
Today's words arrive in order, the most useful first, based on how often they really come up in conversation. Flip a card to see the meaning, hear it spoken, and read it in a real sentence. Say whether you knew it. That is the day.
WHY THE WORDS STAY
Every answer quietly reschedules that word. Ones you find easy drift further out; ones you fumble come back sooner. It is spaced repetition, the same method behind medical-school flashcards, except you never have to think about it. The app does the scheduling. You just show up.
MISSING A DAY IS NOT A DISASTER
The streak is honest: miss a day and it starts again, and it is never quietly fudged to flatter you. But you also carry five stars, and a missed day costs one star, not everything. Come back and you earn it straight back.
WHAT YOU GET
- 20 courses, 365 words each, ordered by how often the words are really used

- Spoken audio for the word and for the sentence
- Pronunciation shown for Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Hindi
- Words grouped into themed chapters you can revisit any time
- Your year as one quiet grid, one dot a day
- A daily reminder at a time you choose
- A home screen widget with today's word
- Friends, free: invite someone and keep a streak together
KIDS MODE
One switch makes everything brighter and simpler: bigger buttons, confetti for every right answer, gentler wording. Good for younger learners, or for anyone who wants a lighter touch.
YOUR PROGRESS FOLLOWS YOU
Sign in with Apple or Google and your progress, streak and stars stay in step across your devices, so a new phone never costs you the year you have built. The words themselves live on the device, so a bad connection does not stop a drop. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings, at any time.
PREMIUM, ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Every course and every word is free. Premium raises your daily limit from 5 words to 20, lets every available word through at once if you would rather move faster, and lets you change course freely. On a free account your first switch keeps everything; after that, switching restarts that course.
WHAT IS INSIDE THE YEAR
The 365 words are grouped into themed chapters rather than dropped on you at random: essential verbs, everyday phrases, food and drink, travel and directions, numbers and time, family and people, describing things, work and study, feelings, and the small connecting words that hold sentences together. Any chapter can be reopened at any point to browse or replay what you have already learned.
NO ADS. EVER.
No ads, no advertising trackers, nothing sold to anyone. One optional purchase is the whole business model.
WHO IT IS FOR
People who tried the big gamified apps and quietly stopped. People who want a habit that survives a busy week. Parents learning alongside a child. Anyone who would rather spend two honest minutes a day for a year than an hour once and never again.
Brushing up before a trip, reconnecting with where your family came from, or just after something small that adds up. Two minutes a day, and a year from now you will have 365 words.
Ratings & Reviews

Better pronunciation. Fifteen Italian recordings have been re-recorded — short words like "due", "chi" and "tu" that the old ones ran together.
Corrections now reach you without re-downloading everything: the app checks each recording and fetches only what changed.
And if you hear one that still sounds wrong, Settings has a new "Report a pronunciation" — tell us, and if we confirm it you get a free month of Premium.
