Frozen

Loftie is frozen when trying to restart and the app doesn’t sync with my Loftie. The app hasn’t shown the correct alarms (showing alarms that have been disabled on Loftie) so I tried to restart Loftie and log out of app but then Loftie froze and wouldn’t restart. Then I tried to disconnect Loftie on app and now app can’t find the device and Loftie screen is still frozen. I really thought that at this point I would be able to control Loftie with my phone via Bluetooth so I have also been very disappointed about that. I’ve wanted to allow automations so that I can get my sounds playing as other items in my home trigger bedtime. Automating when sounds play would be a huge convenience and I guess I thought it’d be available by now. I got Loftie through indiegogo so I’ve had it a long time and the app still doesn’t even have a dark mode. I’m not sure how much you can promote sleep with a blindingly white app screen. Still holding out hope.

EDIT: This new dark mode is great and the UI looks really good

Worth the investment

I was hesitant to spend the money on an alarm clock, but I went for it anyway and now I will never go back. I used to use my iPhone alarm with my phone by my bedside (which never failed to irritate my husband), but I knew the action of waking up to my phone always led to me checking notifications throughout the night and first thing in the morning - which is a terrible way for your mind and body to wake up. Loftie allows me to leave my phone on the opposite side of the room, which has been an absolute game changer to my bedtime and wake up cycle. The two-phased wake up and get up alarms ease me out of my sleep and make it so much easier to get up in the morning.

As a devoted Christian, I don’t use the ‘meditative’ or ‘spiritual’ features, but the calming nature sounds and white noises have been a blessing and totally transformed the way I relax and sleep. I connect with God better in nature so my morning quiet times with the Lord while using the soft nature sounds has life changing! Throw those on along with my Vitruvi diffuser and you have yourself the perfectly relaxing bedtime and awakening morning ambiance.

TLDR: Loftie is worth the investment. Because it’s not just an alarm clock, it’s an experience.

I don’t understand

How was this so expensive and it can’t even perform the basic alarm functions? I’ve tested mine so many times, when I set the alarm to a time, there will be a brief (mayyyybe 5 seconds), incredibly quiet sound, no matter the volume I’ve set (is this the first “phase??” there’s no way that could rouse anyone from sleep) and then total silence until 9 minutes after my alarm was set for, when (the second phase?) it actually starts sounding. I gave up on this alarm way back when I first got it, but recently gave it another shot. I’ve been wondering why I’ve not been waking up on time in the mornings and now I know. It’s really only useful as a sound machine. The alarm sound options are limited, they’ve been talking about new features for years now, not worth it. Get a different alarm.

Edited to reply to developer response: I’m aware of how to change the alarm volume, yes. Setting the alarm any higher volume doesn’t make a difference on the 9 minutes of silence. It does sound the first “phase” for about 5 seconds at the alarm set time, which I mentioned, and then it’s silence for 9 minutes until the second phase starts regardless the volume setting.

Hi, thanks for the review! Did you know there are two different volumes? It sounds like your alarm volume is set very low. You can change this by going to Alarms -> Settings -> Volume.
