waking up is way less terrible

I’m the opposite of a morning person & waking up early has always been the worst part of my day. It’s still pretty terrible, but waking up to Loftie’s sound is infinitely better than waking up to my phone. I love the sensation of pressing an actual button to turn off an alarm, and there’s something soothing about setting the alarm in an analog way and being more intentional about my bedtime ritual. I’ve definitely noticed that I start and end my day more relaxed since I’ve gotten my loftie. Love it and 100% recommend.

Update: Loftie has begun rolling out features that they stated would be included with their alarm clock. It is a good first step towards full functionality. I hope it continues and I can update my review again and improve my rating.

I ordered the Loftie clock to remove my phone from my nightstand to try and get better sleep. On their website and through their indie boho campaign, it was made clear that you could also play your own media like podcasts and playlists through their clock. That has proven to be false. Nowhere could I find that this functionality would be coming later down the road.

Their app has only a fraction of the features stated on their website and in their indiegogo campaign. I am very disappointed and would not recommend the clock or the app until they address these issues. Whenever that may be.

Developer Response ,

Hi, I'm sorry for your disappointment. We shipped Loftie in December so that our Indiegogo backers would have it as soon as we could get it to them. We'd hoped for a little understanding that not every feature would be ready to go on day one. Apparently for a lot of people, they'd have rather we waited to ship--and that's a lesson learned for us. I hope you've had a chance to download the several updates both on Loftie and via our app with additional features? Many more to come in the weeks, months, and years ahead. We'd love to get your input. We check our email more often than our app reviews so we're easiest to reach at support@byloftie.com. Thank you.

Worst customer service, over priced product

Bought this through their campaign. The product came months late and has the functionality of a basic alarm clock with some sounds. Customer service takes forever to respond and do not accept returns. One of the few times I regret making a purchase.

Editing my review for customer response: the product was not a month late. Shipping was in October, they shipped it out end of December. The product barely complete. If you read their other reviews, they say that they are simply “sorry” for lack of functionality, ask for your trust to wait on the new reviews. Customer service didn’t respond to me for 3 days (I had to follow up), and their response was literally “what’s wrong with the product”?

Developer Response ,

Sorry to hear you're not happy with Loftie. We did ship one month later than we'd hoped to for our Indiegogo campaign, but 2020 threw us all a few unexpected surprises. Like most Indiegogo products, perks are not returnable. Purchases from our store are returnable. We try to respond within 24 hours to emails, but there may have been delays over the holidays? Please email us at support@byloftie.com if we can help you at all.
