Neat design and low price. But I have have airpods pro and it isn't working with them.

The app is intuitive to add mic toggle button on Mac menu bar and works with AirPods 3 stem press to mute and unmute most of time. Sometimes the app just frozen. No option to quit in the menu but have to go to activity monitor to kill the process manually. It is inconvenient, but that’s ok. However, there are two deal breakers for me: 1) when mutepod is running, ‘show desktop’ feature of Mac OS stop working. All items on the desktop are not clickable anymore. If you need to access items often on your desktop, this app is a non-starter for the moment. 2) I could not find any way to contact the developer from App Store. ‘App support’ and ‘Web Site’ all point to his website without any contact information. I googled the app and found the developer was active on MacRummor last time in May 2024. So, I am not sure this app is still in support. I hope the developer saw this comment and add his email to his support link.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Zoom keeps breaking their implementation, however, this ensures it always works. It also works in tools that have never supported muting via the AirPods Pro button (Slack).It shows a notification and makes a sound when muting/unmuting so it is clear it worked. The status bar controls/view is also excellent.I see some reviews from a while back which mention having issues, however, it looks like the developer has fixed them so don’t let those dissuade you.

The app is fantastic giving you global control of your airpods mic. I love being able to click the stem while in a game to mute on Discord.However, there is a bug in the software that caused Mute Pod to continuously mute and unmute the mic. The only way to stop it is to use activity monitor and manually kill the app. The bug is so annoying I’ll just cmd tab over to discord and mute it manually.
