Materials are only part of the cost. Labour, machine time, packaging and selling fees all affect your profit. MakeCost brings those costs together and calculates a product price from your chosen target margin.
TURN PURCHASES INTO COST PER UNIT
Combine multiple materials in one product. Enter the amount used or how many products you can make from a purchase. Spread setup time and batch costs across the units you make. Saved material prices stay in the calculation when you update your materials library.
INCLUDE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MACHINES
Add work steps, machine time and operator labour. Enter an hourly machine cost or calculate it from depreciation, electricity, maintenance and consumables. Reuse your materials, machines, labour profiles and sales channels in the next calculation.
UNDERSTAND YOUR PRICE
See production cost, suggested price, profit per unit, product margin and markup. Include VAT, selling fees and shipping. Choose your business currency and default VAT rates in Business profile. Changing currency does not convert amounts using exchange rates.
