Description
Manage My Things is a subscription based app ($9.99 per year, auto-renewing). This feature-rich but easy to use photo-based app helps you capture images of all the important things in your home, or that of your aging parents. The app helps you to organize each "thing" by category, it quizzes you for details such as which heir gets what or what each thing is worth. The app produces PDF inventory reports and sends them to whomever you select to help you complete an estate plan, ensure your things are properly insured, donate your hard goods to charity or dispose of anything unwanted. The app has a simple "batch" feature for capturing multiple images at once when time is short. A "Resolution" folder to isolate items in an estate that may have triggered family conflict. You have the ability to add more homes, boats, storage units or any place else you have things too manage. Brilliant! Fundamentally necessary app!
This app easily helped me take care of the many tasks I have put off for years: 1) take inventory of my possessions for insurance coverage, 2) catalogue items for estate planning, and 3) my favorite, identify clutter and arrange for 1-800-GOT JUNK to pick it up. I am just getting started and it’s already a game changer. Can’t wait to share this with my siblings for mom’s estate planning purposes.

Manage My Things gave me the confidence to finally get my estate plan started AND finished. Easy to use, intuitive and actually made the process fun vs. so daunting. Love the time capsule folder for items that are sentimental and have a special story to share.
Downsizing elderly parents—Help!
Seems like so many of my friends are at that stage in life where we are helping our elderly parents move to smaller, safer, less cluttered quarters. It’s an emotional roller coaster, made worse by the overwhelming task of figuring out what they have and how to get rid of most of it. This app is a godsend!
