Write freely. Pause for a question grounded in your words. Focus and iCloud Sync are free; Explore + Wonder is optional. Margin gives your writing a little room to breathe. Write notes in your own words, with headings, emphasis and lists. Add a photo, pin notes, search, recover recently deleted notes, and export to Word or PDF. No Margin account is needed. When you pause, Margin may offer a small question drawn from words you wrote. Plant it in your note when you choose, dismiss it, or make the margin quiet. Margin does not write your note for you. Focus is always free. The optional Explore + Wonder monthly subscription unlocks two more ways of asking: Explore brings a fresh angle to your writing; Wonder offers an imagined what-if. Both are designed to prompt your own thinking. Your App Store shows the price for your region. Cancel in App Store settings; your notes, formatting and saved questions remain available when a subscription ends. Writing, Focus and iCloud Sync remain free. Questions are created on your device. Apple Intelligence is used when available; Margin's built-in rules offer questions when it isn't. Image reading depends on device support; you can still attach a photo when it is unavailable. Margin does not send your writing to a developer-operated AI service. Requires iOS 27 or iPadOS 27. Apple Intelligence availability depends on your device, language, region and system settings.
