Description

A powerful sketchbook made with technology of the 21st century.

Metaspace gives you the ability to draw in three dimensions, on an infinitely expanding canvas. There are no limits to your creativity.
Complete support for the Apple Pencil, however drawing with fingers is just as rewarding!
Draw with photorealistic pressure/tilt sensitive pencils, pens and markers.

Use it to:
- Quickly draw out some ideas for a 3D concept
- Take complex mind-mapping notes
- Explore your creative side and develop your ability to draw in 3D
- Draw on top of 3D scans and other imported 3D files (.usdz only)
- Create animated walkthroughs through drawings and models

Metaspace uses touch camera controls, meaning that you use familiar multi-touch gestures to move around in the space, whilst using very little battery power. You may also turn on AR mode for something more exciting, where Metaspace will detect the world around you with the back camera, and you will find yourself walking inside of your drawing.

Also:
- Full Apple Pencil support on iPad
- Now available on Apple Silicon Mac
- Complete landscape/horizontal orientation support, including split screen (on iPad and Mac)

Stay creative.

Solid Start

I like the vision and it works as-expected for me. I didn’t run into errors with offset. For me personally though I won’t use it more (or in a production environment) until I can generate some sort of animation, movie, stepped visual or export as obj with mtl, fbx or gltf. Works well in the app just need to get more out of it to share and plug into a pipeline.

Thanks for the review! Stay tuned for the next version, currently in progress - I hear you loud and clear!

Have to pay to go back into drawings

I was testing out the app to see if it’s good for illustrating and to explore what else it can do. I quickly noticed lining up different planes is tricky and that there’s not a lot of drawing tools. Stuff I can get past with more practice with the app I’m sure.

What really made me delete the app in less than 5 min was the fact that I accidentally clicked out of my drawing and to get back into it you have to pay $1. It’s not much of a price tag but I don’t agree with the monetization on using the basic functions that the app is supposed to do. It’s like the BWM heated seats all over again, if he hardware/software is already there in the app there’s no reason to hide it behind a paywall.

Conflicted

The ability to not be able to go back and edit a drawing you closed out of without paying 5 dollars, not 1 like it says, is really really really unnecessary. Instead of making people pay for that, make them pay for more canvases?

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your review and suggestion, I will look into potentially altering the free limitations. I am happy that you seem to be happy with Metaspace.
