A higher bill doesn’t always mean you used more. Sometimes the price changed. Sometimes the reading was estimated. Meter Walk helps you check. Keep your electricity, gas and water readings in one place. Take a photo of the meter, check the number the app reads and save it. Recognition happens on your device, and the photo stays attached to the reading. You can enter the number by hand whenever you need to. Meter Walk calculates your average daily use between readings, so different billing periods are easier to compare. Monthly charts show how your consumption changes over time, with last year’s figures alongside when available. Figures spread across dates between readings are marked as estimates. Wondering whether another tariff would cost less? Enter its rates and standing charges, then apply them to the consumption you’ve already recorded. Compare flat, day-and-night and tiered tariffs. If a calculation needs an assumption, such as your share of night-time use, you’ll see it in the result. You can also check a supplier’s bill against your own records. Save the bill, confirm its details and look for differences in the readings. Keep the photos and calculations together if you need to ask your supplier about a charge.
