The MobilitApp application constitutes the technological foundation whose objective is to provide an advanced tool based on artificial intelligence that predicts the mode of transport using three smartphone sensors (accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope) from the user.
The goal is to support public transport system planning in order to achieve sustainable and efficient mobility. To this end, the application anonymously collects multimodal trip data associated with an anonymized user profile (age range and gender), facilitating statistical analysis of citizens’ mobility and informed decision-making.
