Description
mObywatel is an application of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Now you can safely, quickly, and conveniently use digital documents and handle your official matters online.
With mObywatel, you can:
- use digital documents, such as mDowód, electronic driving license (including temporary electronic driving license), ID cards (e.g. school, student, pensioner), Large Family Card, Diia.pl, and many others;
- handle your affairs from anywhere, e.g. submit applications, fill e-prescriptions, pay taxes;
- block your PESEL number to protect yourself against fraud and data theft;
- check information useful for drivers, such as data about your vehicles, penalty points, fines, as well as the vehicles which you want to buy;
- report environmental violations, e.g. abandoned garbage;
- make sure that the bus, which you are going to travel by, has valid technical inspections and civil liability insurance;
- check air pollution in your area;
- confirm your data in the Central Electoral Register and your voting place in the upcoming elections;
- present your train tickets for inspection in the Bilkom service;
- find useful information for travels abroad.

When will there be an update to be able to add children?

Don’t install - it doesn’t work at all!
Should have know it’s bad when it refused to carry over biometric login data from the previous version. I tried logging in with the password I used for the previous version - said it didn’t recognize the password at all. Well luckily there’s a “I don’t remember my password option”. Tried that and it reset all the data on my app to zero so now I have to start the entire verification process. And the best part? None of the verification methods work xD The all display the same “can’t display this screen now” error.
To sum up - I had a working mobile gov id app with all my documents. I updated. Now I have an app that can’t even log me in and I lost all my electronically stored documents.
DO NOT INSTALL UNTIL IT’S FIXED! You’ll lose all your data like I did

For security reasons, it is not possible to remember the password when updating the application. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Useless when being abroad and you need it most
The authentication process is paranoid. If you do something slightly wrong, it locks you out and a requires text message to reset password. For this you need the original SIM card you used when you registered. When living abroad, I don’t have this SIM card active, so it’s impossible to log in. It should not use SIM card which is limiting and not very secure anyway, but a modern authentication app. MObywatel app is not there for you when you need it most.
